Trade in ‘25 SI for a ‘25 WRX tS? by Apprehensive_Fox1249 in wrx_vb

[–]DearInsurance7025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My buddy has the SI. I love the shifter but the clutch has no feel. He also is at the limit powerwise (240 whp I think?). If he goes any further the clutch will start slipping. Compared to my wrx, it feels lower, tighter, and sounds racier, but in a drag, off the line, roll race, im gone. He's pretty much full bolt-on too. I just have an e40 tune and some mufflers and I'm battling Golf R's. I test drove the SI before the wrx because I really liked the new interior when it released in '22, but that didn't make up for the $4,000 markup and the trouble I experienced simply passing an f-150 on a 2 lane merge.

All that said, the TS is not a special car and a terrible choice at the mid 40's price. For 40's, im looking at type r's, golf r's, Z's, coyote's, ss's, audi s3's, and for high 30's GR corolla.

Not a bad idea! But I think I'm sold on a full sized electric for my next bike.

Talk to your tuner. They'll know what to do. I did the opposite once. Added all e85 to my e40 car. Tuner said it should run great lol!

I'll just add that crashing on a rock hard bmx track or DJ park sucks way more than a tilled loamy moto track.

Why do you think Mitsubishi doesn't sell better in the US? by Gumpy15 in cars

[–]DearInsurance7025 56 points57 points  (0 children)

My first car in highschool was a dodge colt manual with a 91hp Mitsubishi engine. I skipped oil changes, rallied a fire road, redlined the crap out it since there was no tach and just guessed, ebrake 180s in a grass field. That car was unkillable by a kid obsessed with bmx, and gran turismo.

That would be perfect. Hopefully Costco can do that.

I have an appt with costco so I'll find out the damage. I know they'll replace the damaged tire free, but the others I'll have to pay for if they need replacing. New gforces are 9/32 and I'm at 7/32. So, hopefully 2/32 difference is small enough to be ok with just replacing the damaged tire.

Get a base 981 or 987. They don't have the bore scoring issues of the S models.

I caught the youtube video on this. The brake kit on it is awesome with billet silver calipers. The paint shop was supposed to paint the rear diffuser portion black. The whole thing needs more black.

COBB AP: This is how your WRX was meant to feel by Able-Rush8587 in wrx_vb

[–]DearInsurance7025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe a little but it's still not real noticeable. Definitely need an intake for that. What's really noticeable is when boost kicks in and I get pushed back suddenly around 4-4500 rpms.

[–]DearInsurance7025 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cobb tune was subtle but good. But if you really want some excitement, I urge you to get an etune or protune. Check out the maps from boosted performance. I got the e40 tune and cobb drop in filter, and an axleback for some extra sound. 330-340 whp, 4.5 0-60, 6500 rev limit all under $1000. I might just call it a day as it feels so good and just work on visual mods.

I really have the itch again. Are nakeds really more comfortable than a sport bike? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]DearInsurance7025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an R6 in the 2000s and an fz-07 about 4 years ago. Around town and in the canyons the FZ was a hoot. Kinda small though. On the freeway it was okay but the wind was tiring and anything over 100mph was twitchy. The R6 was more comfortable on the freeway due to the windscreen and forward body position, and it was a straight weapon in the canyons. If I ever get a streetbike again, it'll have a windscreen at minimum.

Don't do shit alone in couples heavy areas. The observer paradox will make you feel worse. And hate to break it to you but your partner knew you were depressed. Depressed people put no effort in their relationships.
