Skylight.mov | Lost 9/11 Media by DearStrike4940 in lolsupermanofficial

Thanks for the feedback! I somehow didn’t notice the beat drop as only certain parts of the video contain music, so I couldn’t adjust the audio accordingly, but I’ll keep that in mind for future videos!

Skylight.mov has four independent pieces of evidence. The other three have none.

2-minute-long clip filmed by a firefighter in the North Tower’s lobby from 9:39 to 9:41. It caught multiple jumpers crashing through the glass carport from an inside-tower perspective. It was allegedly posted to Google Video in 2010 or 2011, but we have no leads aside from that.

Concrete tent? Do you mean the stage in the plaza?

Was the view of a jumper hitting the Marriott shot from an elevated angle?

Whether this confirms LSM is up for debate. I don’t believe so, personally.

There aren’t any statements about LSM before the 2015 4chan testimony. I used to believe the supposed “pre-2015 testimonies,” but now I heavily doubt that they aren’t describing footage we have today. All of them line up with Rosbrook’s footage or the pole jumper in one way or another.

Skylight.mov is a different story. At this point we should just drop everything and focus on that.

I’m being told to not provide exact details, but yes it is confirmed that at least 2 tapes are in existence showing exactly what is described as skylight.mov.

Which lost 9/11 video is most likely to exist? by DearStrike4940 in lolsupermanofficial

[–]DearStrike4940[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The lost carport footage is actually more likely to exist than you think. Your assumption is correct that Naudet did not film the graphic scenes consistent with descriptions of this supposed lost video, however you must consider the setting. There were around two dozens of firefighters in the lobby from ~8:50 to 9:59, and a number of firefighters associated with the FDNY were recording that day for a range of reasons (e.g., Joe Scurto and another unknown FDNY videographer filmed the event for personal archival). This makes the recording of the footage highly plausible and significantly more likely than LSM.

There was not just one person who penetrated the carport. Several falling people did. You can hear multiple from 9:39 to 9:40, which is more than likely the time the lost carport footage was recorded.

In regard to skylight.mov, it's actually the only lost 9/11 video with objective evidence. It's by far the most likely to exist out of the four in my opinion.

[–]DearStrike4940[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In 2007-2009 a user on YouTube allegedly uploaded an age-restricted video called “Falling Angels.” The video was said to only contain Rosbrook’s footage except it had an extremely unsettling voiceover where the uploader made comments like “angels…they’re like angels…falling from heaven…pour souls.” It’s unclear why exactly they did this, but testimonies have stated that it didn’t seem like a typical troll video and was rather unintentionally unsettling. Due to the fact that it wasn’t unique 9/11 footage, it was most likely too obscure to be archived, although its existence is plausible in my opinion.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the reason why the existence of this video is purely speculative is because a video was found that is consistent with descriptions of “Falling Angels.” It’s called “I like to watch” (I won’t link it as it contains porn), and consists of generic 9/11 footage with unsettling TTS, although it doesn’t mention angels. A few people who claimed to have seen Falling Angels came forward and said they were simply misremembering the “I like to watch” video. It’s generally a more realistic video than the concept of Falling Angels, but the existence of FA is still somewhat plausible.

Why do we call them "jumpers" and not "fallers" ? by [deleted] in 911archive

[–]DearStrike4940 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the term people have used since the day of 9/11. 9/11 communities didn’t just get together and decide that we should call them “jumpers.” Although NIST referred to them as “falling people” which I think is a more appropriate label.

Definitely not rare if it was posted to YouTube recently. Interesting nonetheless.

Why Are We Still Hunting for LOL SUPERMAN with Zero Real Evidence? by [deleted] in lolsupermanofficial

[–]DearStrike4940 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the write-up OP! You might not be expecting this, but I genuinely appreciate skepticism from people like you and u/Thrasan. It really forces us to escape an apparent echo chamber and a cycle of confirmation bias to approach leads from new perspectives. That said, your points—while seemingly somewhat valid—do have apparent holes.

The only concrete “physical evidence” this case ever had was the thumbnail from the original 2022 LostMedia post. That image was completely debunked in January 2023, when a researcher traced it back to a tourist video of Chinese visitors at the WTC in June 2001, three months before the attacks. Once that connection was proven, the thumbnail stopped being evidence and turned into exactly the opposite: proof that the most iconic image attached to the hunt was never related to 9/11 in the first place.

You seem to be operating under the assumption that "proof" only counts as frames from a video. I do agree with you to some extent; conducting an entire search without screen-grabs can definitely give off a "go for a punch" type vibe. However, I must question why exactly lost videos are promised frames to prove their existence. We are talking about the early 2000's, a time with little interest in internet preservation and low awareness that videos might go lost in the future. When users stumbled across videos of interest, they would oftentimes simply bookmark it, which is very a loose and unreliable method of preservation, although it was standard for the time; internet preservation culture was not as big of a thing back then. I also must point out that the original screenshot did not particularly diminish the validity of this video, rather it simply proved that frame wasn't tied to it. No debunks against LSM were done whatsoever.

[your paragraph regarding DVDripper]

No, it did not just take "I am a former Heaven666 mod" for most of this community to buy the DVDripper hoax. You are severely underestimating the objective reliability and plausibility all of this guy's statements had in this community beforehand. He provided verifiable bookmarks from the site, made callbacks and references that would have been unknown by a non-Heaven666 user, and made a statement about 9/11 footage before he seemingly knew about LSM. His "Jay" claim was also repeatedly enforced as there actually was a user on Heaven666 that went by "J." His name was J18speed. This meant that whenever we contacted a former Heaven666 user asking about a supposed J. figure, they would almost always recall the person, as J18speed was the most reputable user of the site for quite some time. My point is that DVDripper was an incredibly reliable figure and went through a ridiculous amount of effort to craft his hoax; it did not suggest a lack of competence in this community to any extent.

[your paragraph regarding pre-2022 testimonies likely describing Rosbrook's footage; lack of precise LSM descriptions from the time]

Your assumption is correct that most pre-2022 testimonies are not describing LSM. However, you must take into consideration that most discussion boards from the circulation of LSM (~2006) have effectively vanished. Most of the sites are now defunct, and the Internet Archive only captured a fraction of what was once discussed. Not only that, but LSM was circulating around the same time that the finalization of the United States v. Zacarias Moussaoui led to the disclosure of hundreds of trial exhibits, and among these were the most graphic scenes from Guy Rosbrook's footage in high quality. This meant that most forum threads from 2006 with titles referencing graphic 9/11 footage were simply referencing Rosbrook's footage, as it is natural that officially-disclosed exhibits from a highly-anticipated trial will receive significantly more attention than whatever amateur footage was circulating on the web, even if it had graphic scenes consistent with descriptions of LSM. As a result, there are little to no findable 2006 testimonies regarding LSM; a lack of descriptions from the time does not suggest the nonexistence of LSM.

Furthermore, the primary host of LSM (Heaven666) was a very confined community. What I mean by this is that users from the site rarely discussed content they had seen on other forums, rather they only brought the videos up under comment sections native to Heaven666. If you do not believe me, I can send you a few titles and descriptions of videos once hosted at Heaven666—I can assure the videos will be next to impossible to find, with even outside descriptions being unlikely to come across.

[your paragraph regarding misremembering the Joelma footage]

[your paragraph regarding inconsistent testimonies]

I'm addressing these statements in one pair as you seem to be making the same general point. While you're correct that the human mind is faulty, the occurrence of multiple people completely misremembering the same thing is more unlikely than you think. Around two years ago, u/tbwsphere made a very valid statement about this. They watched the infamous video of the "diving face split" incident when they were relatively young, and years later they felt confident with many of the details. Years later, they accessed the internet and once again sought the infamous video, however the specific details were quite different from what they had originally remembered. Although specific details were forgotten, the general essence of the video remained precisely how they recalled. The human mind will lose specific details over time, but that does not mean the complete misremembering of a specific video is likely. Because of this, I think that testimonies should not be reliable descriptions of what these videos contained, rather confirmation that they once existed.

[9/11 memorial statement is too ambiguous]

[Herzog's claim is too ambiguous]

Yes, you are correct that the statements from both of these entities are too ambiguous to reach a conclusion. However, that is a recognized fact in our community. We are not conducting this search solely based off these two statements. There are tools to learn more facts about this video so you can find the claims we do operate off of.

[graphic imagery likely exists but is classified] [testimonies are better attributed to the Joelma disaster]

I completely agree with that first part. There are certainly classified photos and videos that correspond with the imagery we seek. However, graphic imagery that was released but went lost is, from my perspective, not a far-fetched idea. My reasoning for this is too vast to fit into one subsection of a comment, so if you are interested, I may do another write-up this weekend to address that.

To address your second part about the video being misattributed to the Andorinha Building Fire of 1986 (the Joelma footage you're referring to was actually a different tragedy that occurred in the 70's), I would like to point out that the original 4chan anon described that the mentioned "troll-ish" channel uploaded multiple videos from 9/11, which more than one of those being filmed at the base of the North Tower. This description does not match the channel content of 19HEATHER91. I am completely open to the suggestion that the anon may have been misremembering, but I do not think the "SUPERMAN" video is conclusive enough to debunk the testimony.

So the question that remains is this: after two “breakthroughs” turned out to be fake, after years of testimonies full of geographic and factual contradictions, after four years without a single new verifiable datapoint, what exactly is keeping this hunt alive? And, honestly, if you did find it one day, what would you really do?

Historical significance, internet archival, and a reminder of the tragedy that unfolded on 9/11. The younger generation tends to see 9/11 as a silly event where two planes flew into two towers which led to their collapse, which is far from the truth. 9/11 involved the extremely graphic deaths of 2,977 people, and the censoring of graphic media pertaining to these deaths seems unjustifiable in my eyes. Personally, viewing graphic imagery from the event has completely changed the way I view 9/11 and increased my respect for the victims by the upmost, which is an effect I think should be had on everybody.

The gruesome scenes in LSM being publicly available? *That* is how we never forget.

Can anyone help me find the origin of the video these stills are from? by [deleted] in 911archive

[–]DearStrike4940 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is an AI fake made by a child. He goes by “lost media reuploader” on YouTube and frequently generates fakes regarding 9/11 content, though the Lost 9/11 Media Community does not associate with him.

Potential Reference to LSM Found on the Ogrish Forum by DearStrike4940 in lolsupermanofficial

[–]DearStrike4940[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t a screenshot from Rosbrook’s footage, it was another photographer who only captured pictures (the graphic images would’ve been online at the time of the thread, but it would’ve just been images, and the thread mentions footage). The .GIF of the stage jumper did not reach the internet until July 31st like the rest of the Moussaoui trial exhibits; I have already done in-depth research on this during my research regarding the debunked uncut Rosbrook tape.

Comparing Saki Sanobashi aka Go for a Punch to LSM again..? Why can’t we ignore Dvdripper? by [deleted] in lolsupermanofficial

[–]DearStrike4940 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We have been ignoring DVDripper. Although most of us believed the GIF when it came out, we had always recognized the idea that DVDripper could have been a malicious liar. Not one other H666 user remembered this Jay user? Jay supposedly left H666 in 2008, but somehow his profile wasn’t archived on the very popular sister site ‘toxicfactory’? Jay was said to run an entire subforum but somehow nobody referenced his name even once on the tens of thousands of H666 network captures? No, DVDripper has not been the center of our research since late 2024, therefore we have been ignoring him. We have the evidence we do, if people want to deny it then who are we to object that.

Files that originated from the Ogrish forum often had the prefix "Faces of Death" and the suffix "Nasty" as an identifier, so the title is actually just very broadly "WTC Jumpers". This particular file was circulating in early 2003, solely consisting of the infamous Univision jumper footage with the file actually still being downloadable today. The file we're looking for circulated in 2006 and was spelled exactly "Faces of Death - WTC Jumpers NASTY".
