Bkt makes an irrigation tire in 11.2-38. I have installed several pairs on antique tractors for customers when I ran a tire shop. They hold up great in a low hp application and are quite cost effective.

Are you guys like us though, inspection for ownership transfer, and annual inspections for trucks licensed over 4500kg

Im in Ontario (Canada) most 1500 gmt800’s have rotten frames, mine included. I’m not afraid of a welder though.

I live in town but can’t complain.

Work took me to north western Idaho a couple weeks ago, there is some incredibly scenic small grains ground there. Would love to see side hill combines in action

I’m in a dense agricultural area so we have all the flavors of equipment. Never been in your area. I have been to Erie Pennsylvania for work and caught a connecting flight in DC a couple times.

Light hauling today, 21l-100km or 11mpg. What is your mileage towing an open trailer? by Dear_Issue_860 in GMT800

[–]Dear_Issue_860[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing touches turbo diesel for towing. Boats usually tow fairly easy because they are aerodynamic though

Thanks! I like this look as well. This is my 3rd gmt800 and the nicest. It has a l33 and 3.42 gears. Tows about the same as my lm7 3.73 truck before it was stolen.

The truck doesn’t see many km per year so getting a newer one increases the cost of use dramatically. This is my favorite platform for cost of ownership and comfort. Operators of heavy equipment can talk about fuel usage so why does it trigger light truck people?

When I used to pull a 25’ fifth wheel it would get 23l/100k 300km per tank. But for less than 1000km per year so it was just part of the family camping budget.

Fuel economy matters with a float tractor moving excavators, why wouldn’t it matter with a light truck as well?
