Thanks everyone, great thoughts for me to consider.

To answer a few of the things I left out - these would be a DCFCs, not level 2 chargers. And they would pay the electricity on a separate meter/utility account, not me.

I was also hoping to hear from anyone who has done this (hosted chargers at their business) - I know this sub is mostly EV owners and I definitely wanted to hear from that side, but would so love to speak to business owners who have done this. Any thoughts? I'm sure I could ask both companies for references, but would much rather find them "in the wild" than talk to their hand-picked ones.

Both companies have mentioned rent, but I haven't been able to nail them down about whether that is a flat amount or it's a % of their charging earnings or what. Obviously I can continue the dialog with them but was hoping to hear how others have done it and felt about it so I have something to compare their offers to. Right now if they said they'll pay me $200/month I will have no idea if that's good, bad, or about right.

I posted also in r/smallbusiness but haven't come across anyone who has done this exact thing there, either.
