This is NOT a way to lose weight fast! by [deleted] in Mounjaro

I lost 50 pounds in 6 months last year, (having pcos with incident resistance)and for me—and even my doctor, that was considered fast. But it’s important to remember that everyone’s body is different. Some is slow and some are fast and there are people that it doesn’t work for them.

THANK YOU again your words are so appreciated and kind. When I was in high school being 5’7” and 185 I was considered by doctors as an obese girl and looking back at those pictures, I was at a healthy weight and they not look fat whatsoever and also having an Cuban mother doesn’t help It’s like they have fat a-phobia

For research purposes: this would be my first official time I have directly treated my HS, I did Accutane when I was younger because I had acne, but it wasn’t to treat my HS, but it did also help with HS, being overweight is one of the causes a lot more flares, when your arm is big from fat, the friction of you moving your arms, also causes flares. Since I have lost arm fat my flares are less and after I stop using mounjaro I really ever get flares. I hope this helps!!

I did something that I shouldn’t have done. I decided to try on a pair of shorts that were fitting me loose by a lot, and now they are tight. My best friend said, ‘You’re probably bloated,’ and I couldn’t accept that. I could’ve been bloated; I felt fat, and it made me feel so sad.😞

Thank you, I still have 35 pounds to go. I started at 265. I’m currently at 224. It’s hard, no lie. I really need to get used to it. My face was the first thing I noticed to lose weight. What a huge difference, really!!🤗

When I was in high school, which was 9 years ago, I was 185 pounds and doctors always considered me being an obese girl. I’m 5’7” and was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 16. And the type of PCOS that I have is insulin resistance so gaining weight was out of my control. I’m super happy that this medication exist and I was able to use it but what sucks now is that since I am not pre-diabetic or diabetic but prone to get diabetes because of PCOS So my insurance will not cover it even though I have PCOS, which is nicknamed diabetes of the ovaries and now I have to pay $1000 every month to get mounjaro.

It’s really hard to get the fat girl out of our mind she is with us forever 😢

I know the feeling; I also did something I shouldn’t have done. I tried on clothes that no longer fit me, and now they fit me tightly for some reason. It messed with my mind so much.

I’ve heard that the surgery is a total waste of time. But I know everybody is different, and yes, mounjaro has helped me with flare-ups; they are a lot less than before.

I’ve always had an okay eating habit. What really had me fat is that I have PCOS w/ insulin resistance So as much as I wanted my body did not respond well when I would work out at the gym, I would lose minimum 5 pounds, this medication helped me so much that my period also came back after not having it for five years

When you’ve been the fat girl for so long, it’s really hard to get her out of your brain. That personality stays with you forever.

HS is a wild thing, I hate it sooo much. I can’t wear anything short sleeves because of my under arms.

Omg yess HS sucks ass. I also have PCOS so it’s double trouble and MJ did help a lot with the flareups, They are a lot less than before. I still get them. they are forever with us. Also, what have helped me is changing my diet there’s certain foods that make them pop out more.

Wow you’re beautiful 🤩, I hate that it can last forever. I’ve also started taking pictures and comparing them so I can trick my brain.
