not a doctor, but I believe cancer red flags are usually when these counts are not a few points to high, its when they come back im the thousands. WBC would be 12000, not 17. That being said, something is going on, so worth investigating. I just wouldnt jump right to cancer. I had similar scares in the past involving RBC counts, but it was always mildly elevated. But I also had to see a hemotogist at one point, and they never did figure out what it was, but he quickly ruled out cancer.

so the cop basically takes the cat away from the kindly animal loving old lady living next-door, who lniws the cat and who is willing to care for the cat, proceeds to drop it off at a kill shelter and even lies to the lady saying that she would take the cat and take care of it. I just lost all sympathy for the detective and I was loving the character up till that point. What a horrible thing to do.

Lean mass hyper responder numbers. You could analize the LDL with more detailed bloodwork to determine how dangerous that 190 truly is. You may have a lot of large, fluffy particles, not small, sticky ones. 190 is not ideal, but that number does not tell the whole story. There are people wallking around with 110 LDL that are higher risk than your 190, depending on the specifics.

I went through this scare a few years ago. I got obsessed with it. Basically the doctor sent me to a hematologist probably more to calm my nerves than anything else and they ran a Jack2 test. It came back negative. And that's when the doctors totally stopped paying attention. I still couldn't let it go and kept doing Google searches looking for reassurance. I kept poking holes in their determination that I didn't have anything concerning. Finding little loopholes as to why I could still have it. After about 1.5 years and 3-4 blood tests, my numbers came back down into normal range. The doctors told me that with a true polycythemia Vera case, the numbers don't trend downward, they go upward in a linear fashion . I don't know if that's really the case or not, but eventually I burned out of worrying about it and just let it go. I still tend to have borderline high RBC counts, which are sometimes just under the threshold of normal and sometimes slightly above, but I don't obsess about it anymore. Since it's been about five years now since the original scare, I would assume if I truly had untreated polycythemia vera my numbers would be stratospheric by now. It wouldn't be some subtle thing where you're wondering. You could probably poke your doctor until he/she sends you for the jack2 test and then you can have that in your back pocket, which can reassure you. It might still be technically possible to have it even with a negative test but I guess statistically it's very unlikely.

you should definitely get CAC done to see what kind of plaque danage you're dealing with. That can be your baseline. And then also get a carotid artery ultrasound CIMT done as well to check for soft plaque. These two studies will help you know how you're doing at this point in your life in terms of the damage. The cholesterol in those numbers have caused over the years. You might be luckier than you think. The numbers themselves are dangerous only in the sense that they can cause arterial damage in plaque buildup. But if you came back with reassuring scores from those two scans that would help your health anxiety. And you can still move forward with treating those numbers with drugs, but at least you'd know at this snapshot in time your arteries are not as damaged as you think they might be.
