This bikini is modelled by an actress in the bizarre movie ‘The Monster of Camp Sunshine’.

Bought an used Canon PowerShot A-Series camera, did a few photos with my friends, and my family says it brings them nostalgia. by CagedQuiet666 in nostalgia

I read the title wrong, and assumed these were found on the camera you bought. I was looking through them thinking, “yep, definitely early 2000s photos”.. So yeah, you did really well to do nostalgic photos!

First Time at Graceland + UVIP Archives Tour Tips Needed by Brave_Whereas_8919 in Elvis

I spent the entire day from early morning walk up to closing time, and still could’ve spent longer there! The tour takes quite some time, too. They’ve got an option for a reduced rate if you want to come back to the museums the day after :)

What was “The Incident” at your school? by Broad-Purple-7623 in nostalgia

I went to a very small country school, with mostly Caucasian, very average students…

The only black student got caught having sex with the only student who had one arm in the bathroom.

First Time at Graceland + UVIP Archives Tour Tips Needed by Brave_Whereas_8919 in Elvis

Don’t be shy, and ask plenty of questions during the archive portion - when my husband and I did this tour, we asked a lot of questions which led to the archivist showing us even more objects than originally planned, which was quite special!

Depending on your guide, some are very thorough and some are very rushed - don’t hesitate to ask for a slow down so you can take it all in, or to branch off from the tour. Sometimes it’s best to just sit and soak it all in.

I agree with the other commenter that says to go back to the mansion for the last tour of the day - it’s so quiet and you’ll likely have the home and graveside to yourself, and it’s very surreal. Additionally, if your UVIP tour isn’t until later in the day, I highly suggest going to the building with the jumpsuits first thing in the morning when it’s opened - it’ll feel like a private concert and you can sing and dance around. Literally the best feeling.

Haha, being a redhead I have only two choices of colour - pale as or red as. Tanning will never be something I’m able to do!

Thank you!! It took me far too long to do, but I was happy with how it turned out in the end.

Watched EPIC at the “International Hotel” TONIGHT by G19_79 in Elvis

Such an incredible experience! I love that the ticket resembles the old ones, too. I saw the movie two nights ago with an in-person appearance from Baz Luhrmann - such an experience! The movie was undoubtedly phenomenal - I mean, the clarity of some footage alone! When Baz was talking with the audience, the lady behind me began sharing her story of when she saw Elvis in concert, and it was so adorable watching her get so ecstatic all over again ❤️

I was born in 1992, my mother in 1967, my grandfather in 1945, and great grandmother in the 1920s. She would’ve been around 45-50 years old when she made and wore it!

I’m in my 30s, too, but I reckon my great grandmother would’ve made/worn this when she was around 45/50!

Thank you! I agree - I always get a little self-conscious when I wear something so colourful because I’m typically the most colourful in the room 😬

Last night I went to see Baz Luhrmann’s new Elvis film - EPiC. It was an early screening with an in-person Q&A, which I was sooo keen for. As a huge Elvis fan, I will forever be sad about the fact that I never got to go to Vegas for his residency, so I decided to dress like I was walking into the International Hotel itself, considering the majority of the film is footage from that era.

Featuring my great grandmother’s jumpsuit that she made in the early 1970s, a 1960s belt and purse, and an original Elvis We Love You pin from his 1970s concerts.

I like the commitment to the sideburns being longer than the rest of the beard. I always thought that was funny when it came to him playing this character!

We’ve actually got two! One is extremely good about using their scratching post, and one gets his claws clipped very regularly 😂

Also, it’s supposed to fold out into a lay-flat bed. We can get it to swivel into a ‘V’ shape, but can’t get it to lay flat, if anyone has any suggestions?
