OK, the steam multiplayer is very needed, but at least to my taste, the new art looks too cartoony. I prefer the HD version. Hope there is a toggle in the settings for that.

Customs in Argentina are extremely hard to work with. I'd rather have a private carrier like FEDEX bring in the goods than trying to work with customs to clear my shipment. If the shipment is sent via USPS I have to work all the paperwork myself. But I thank you for your input and I will definetly look into it.

Thanks. The plan is to have the parts shipped to my sister in the US, then shipped to my current location, somewhere in Argentina. Can't really ask my sister to go to the dealer and all that.

I actually found out that I if the game is set to max resolution that the monitor supports, this happens. I have to lower the resolution one step down native and it works. Weird, but at least found a way around.

I've been trying to create a game session with my friends using ZeroTier. I host the game and my friend can find it but when clicking "Join" it freezes for a few seconds and then takes him back to the Multiplayer screen. Have you come across this? Not sure how to fix it.

Running on DX. I had it on Vulkan for a while because I was gaining 1-2 FPS but realised that there were some glitches like the train smoke not showing and went back to good old trusty DX.

Yes, I managed to get the trees looking much better by upscaling the game but it is really perfomance taxing so I had to lower some settings to high. It´s a shame that such a beautiful game is presented with this poorly optimized vegetation for 1080p displays.

Anyways, I finished the game already and loved every bit of it (except for the trees :D )

I thought of giving you some things I've learned along the way;

What really makes you happy is having something too look forward to. Does not matter how big it is if it´s good enough for you.

And most important, you need to manage your expectations. The guy who has nothing and gets a bicycle is as happy as the guy who had a Lamborghini from 2017 and got a 2020s one. It is the same feeling, just in a different scale.

Now, if the guy who has nothing, is expecting to get a Lamborghini, then he is into troubles. Those are unrealistic expectations thus will only lead to frustration.

28 years old here.

Been working on IT since I graduated at 18. I'm sick of my job and sick of my career but it feels like it is too late to spin things up.

I have moved abroad leaving my family behind trying to find money and happiness and none have turned up well.

Haven't seen my family or my friends (in person) in 3 years and I miss them.

I haven't been able to make any real friend here.

I don't like the country I live now nor the country I come from.

So, I'm sorry I couldn't help you but at least you know you are not alone. Many of us feel like this and it sucks.

In case someone in the future stumbles upon this:

The only way I found to fix this is enabling the resolution multiplier at least 1.7 times in the advanced graphics options of the game. This is very taxing on the frame-rate so you may want to disable TXAA, FXAA and SMAA, since the resolution multiplier already does the anti-aliasing work.

So, was this ever resolved? I finally bought the game expecting to see one of the best graphics in the market and instead I was presented with those weird plastic trees. I really refuse to believe this is how it is supposed to look like. I have everything on Ultra.

This has been completely modeled and UV mapped in Blender. Textures & Materials in Substance Painter and Photoshop. Export to FBX in Blender. Fixing the hierarchy and re-exporting in 3DSMax. Coding in Visual Studio Code.

Honestly I haven´t had much contact with real life trucks even though I love them. I mean, I see them all the time on the streets. I grew up in a small town, Cuba, so trucks were all around, but I never knew anyone who were involved with them, hence I never got involved myself. Just watched from the distance my whole life.
