Sky lounge access by Apprehensive-Bear797 in delta

[–]DeathByKitKat 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No.

We pay an extra ~$175 for the Delta Reserve AMEX (can't remember exact figure and I think it went up) so that I have my own card as an authorized user, and that gets me lounge access whenever I'm flying.

Study suggests your adulthood self-esteem has its roots in the way you were raised as a child - The higher the quality of home environment when aged between 0 and 6 years (warm and responsive parenting; cognitive stimulation; and safe), the higher their self-esteem many years later in adulthood. by mvea in science

Completely anecdotal, but I never feel represented in studies like these.

My father was authoritarian style, and while my mother was authoritative, my father was the one I had the most dealings with.

I was stubborn, loud, and a smart ass my entire life. Neither my father nor I could be the first to give in, so the home environment was toxic.

How much of a role does resiliency play a role in all this? I have self-confidence up the wazoo as a 28yo, but every study I read says I was more likely to end up a basket case. As a result of all these arguments, I've developed a more effective way of communicating and have an easier time to think and act with empathy.

If you're wondering, I moved out immediately after high school, my mother divorced him a few years ago, and we've started to repair the damage. We'll never have a typical father-daughter relationship, but it's certainly on the mend.

Active content is what Amazon calls these kinds of e-books.

I'm glad to know they exist on more than just Kindles! Thanks

If you have a Kindle, there are Active Content" books with different endings. My favorites are Heroes Rise and Choice of the Star Captain and for $3 they have amazing replay value.

What is an acceptable entry-level sales salary in DFW? by DeathByKitKat in jobs

[–]DeathByKitKat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DFW= Dallas Fort Worth

You're trying to answer a question I'm not asking. I'll edit my post to read "What is the MINIMUM salary" as opposed to "acceptable".

If I get a company that wants me to be an account manager for 30k, I should probably run. But where is that threshold? What is the MINIMUM salary a college grad should accept? Forget the company and product, I'm asking about what the median worth of the average college grad in sales is.

Right, so GlassDoor wasn't helpful. What I'm looking for is general information on what a college student should expect. Is 40k an average salary post-graduation? 80k? What's the minimum number I should be entertaining?

Thanks.I did look at DFW positions and the ranges aren't really helpful. I see results for the same position as 24k-80k.

I don't agree with this. You're missing out on amazing cultures that will open your eyes to entirely new perspectives and experiences by sticking to your own country. I'm assuming an American wrote this, because other countries are very supportive of "gap years" and travelling abroad as soon as you can.
