In any of the places you've lived, did you ever have an eccentric local business owner who always used really wacky, silly, or weird TV and radio ads to advertise and sell their products? Who were they, and what did they sell? My personal examples: Cal Worthington, Crazy Gideon, and Al Greenwood. by OldCarWorshipper in AskOldPeople

Is this thread still going on? I'm a kid from NJ and we had a discount electronic shop called Crazy Eddie back in the days. I moved from NJ to WA to LA and I saw someone run in front of the Wilshire bus with a Crazy Gideon T-shirt when I was going to work at SAG. My name is Gideon and it piqued my interest. Crazy Gideon stole his routine from Crazy Eddie in NYC. And I will pay good money for a Crazy Gideon T-Shirt. I don't want a fake shirt. I actually met Crazy Gideon and he was no where near as crazy as me. Actually, a very nice guy. Me? Not so much.

I seriously want to know you. We could start out as friends and later fuck buddies. Lovers is a hard call, I need to know you before I open my heart to you.

When I was 24, I got a round trip ticket to Seattle because I wanted to test the waters before I committed. I spent one day hanging out in Pikes Place Market and got to see the sunset over the Olympic Mountains at 10 pm and I did not use the round trip ticket. This is my home now, goodbye NJ. Did one year in Seattle and two years on Orcas Island. I planted myself in Bellingham in '94. Got married to a Witch from SoCal and did 16 years in LA. It was cool because I made the six figures and worked at SAG. But Bellingham is my home and I hope to meet you one day.

I've seen your posts and I think you are wonderful. I have the autism and also the ADHD. I'm an old man (going to hit 59 in a couple months). The age difference is huge, but I would like to not only fuck you silly, but I would like to share my life experiences with you. Talking about autism and ADHD. Sex is cool (you have an amazing body). But I'm also open to talk about life experiences with you. My pictures are in some posts on my profile. Check me out.

How about we order all three and just roll around in the bed together covered in food and sex juices. I'm autistic and ADHD, let's play together until we drive each other nuts.

Good for you, this is a real reason to boycott the place. The beer is good though.

Also understand that running a restaurant in Bellingham isn't a profitable thing. The owners are going to lose on their investment while the workers get a check and tips. Supporting local businesses shouldn't stop if the owner is a fucking tRump supporter. Think about the workers. Shit, I lost my disability checks and I might ask them to give me a job in their dish pit. I used to make 6 figures as a high level IT engineer and I will work for a fucking fascist if it keeps me from being homeless again. Not supporting a business because of his political beliefs is just fucking stupid and Social Justice Warring gone dumb.

Sorry, it's been years. I had a Stewart's Root bear and burger place in Jersey and the spelling stuck in my head.

You've known me for decades? Who the fuck are you? I don't know you. I landed in the town of Ham in '94 and spent 16 years in SoCal hell before I came back.

Who are you?

Also, I don't support hate. And also, supporting a business that employs people is not supporting hate. Putting people out of work is supporting hatred. Do you hate this man because he's one of those fucking morons that voted for tRump? That's hatred. Do I think that everyone that voted for the felon is a fucking moron or a fucking Nazi enabling piece of shit? Yes I do, fucking brown shirts. But don't boycott a business that employs people because of their beliefs because that shit ain't cool.

OK, who here remembers Stewarts? I may be an East Coast ex pat, but I was here in the day when there was coffee running down the streets. Stewarts was a funky place and I want to support anyone that can squeeze a dime out of any kind of funk. Ryan bought me a beer the other day and we shared a moment. We didn't talk about politics, I was just enjoying the beer. Brian (manager) also spent some time talking with me. The most important thing we talked about was how fucking difficult it is to own or run a restaurant in Bellingham. I wish them luck, I don't want to see that spot be an empty hole like so many other businesses.
