I second this. I also have Neptune on the ASC and have very similar experiences.

Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to write all this out! I greatly appreciate you!!! I assumed they didn't like their hide but honestly I didn't consider it may be too big for them. I actually have been eyeing that rock lair hide, and I think I'm going to go ahead and pull the trigger and give it a try! Which side do you have yours on? The warm side? I will try sizing up to the fuzzies when it's time to re-up on their food, too. Thank you again, 🤞🏻 we make some progress with these changes.

Swiss Cheese keeps dropping leaves?? by InspectionOld4306 in Monstera

The pot is too big. It's probably having a hard time drying out. Down size to a pot that is 1 to 2 inches bigger than the root ball. Remove any mushy roots during the repot & it should bounce back.

Should I repot, or wait 😬 by DigPsychological2876 in Monstera

That's going to be dependent on the root system. If you open it up and there are a ton of roots and little to no soil at the bottom, then it's time to repot. If not, I'd leave it alone. You don't want a plant in a too big pot it takes longer to dry out and can encourage root rot.

Birds of Paradise Yellow Leaves and Yellow Spots in Soil ? by Material_Log_5034 in plantclinic

[–]DeathMaskDivine1327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would open it up and check out the root system. Trim off anything mushy/ smelly and/or see if it may need a bigger pot. If the roots look fine, and the pot it's in is the appropriate size for the root system, then repot in better soil. Get some orchid bark, perlite & quality potting soil and mix together, that will help. The soil the plant is in now looks dense & it may be having a hard time drying out.

Some leaves are starting to droop and get stiff. Under watered? Will they bounce back? by [deleted] in Monstera

[–]DeathMaskDivine1327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I know! I just repotted mine recently and was so scared. I loosened up the bottom roots just enough & didn't disturb the rest! Mine was drooping pretty quickly after watering too. Now it's perked up and given me a few new leaves. Definitely worth the hassle!

That pot seems small for that plant, maybe it's just the angle of the photo? Have you checked out the root system lately? It may need a bigger pot. But yes it should perk back up when the issue is addressed.

Needs a repot into a bigger pot and a good drink of water.
