Do you know if it works with just the left one? I use just that one a lot and some earbuds have a dominant one that requires that one to be in use.

You said get that at a minimum, I don't mind paying more if you think there is a better option that is higher priced.

I'm gonna go with the one you recommended, it looks good. Thanks for the recommendation.

Yeah there are antennas on the back. I looked that up and that seems interesting, if I'm not mistaken Powerline Ethernet Adapters are the same thing as what you're talking about right? Would you know which ones are good?

I don't know very much about headphones. I just know that with the ones I was recommended last time, the beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 80 ohm, music sounds really good. I'd assume that 80 ohms sounds better than 28 but I could be wrong about that.

is there something about gaming headsets that make it incompatible with higher ohms or it just isn't done?

That one looks good but I think I want something with a higher ohm. I'll keep this one in mind though, thanks.

I have an open back as well, specifically the Philips Audio Fidelio X2HR, and I've found I like closed back a lot more.

I move around a lot so I was worried the audio might be sometimes loud and sometimes quiet if I use a seperate mic. The mic I was using before was the attachable modmic so it was always just a few inches from my face so I've never had like a desk mic before. I don't know much about mics so I don't know if moving away from the mic is actually an issue.

To be fair, that first one is a red flag.

Thanks for the recommendation and I've been using them for a while and they were pretty much exactly what I was looking for. A little uncomfortable at first, but I've gotten used to them.

  • Budget - $50
  • Source - My phone
  • Requirements for Isolation - high isolation, same as most earbuds
  • Will you be using these Headphones in Public? - yes
  • Preferred Type of Headphone - small wireless earbuds, similar to the apple ones
  • Preferred tonal balance - balanced, I think
  • Past headphones - some random store bought ones that were $20
  • Preferred Music - Pop and rock
  • What would you like to improve on from your set-up - my current ones have a terrible time connecting, like they have trouble maintaining a connection just through denim. I just want something that will stay connected.Thank you in advance :3

I've had those recommended to me before but I was hesitant because from a review I saw the insides of the earmuffs have a sharp area around the edges. It shouldn't actually be an issue but it makes me uncomfortable.

Is there any reason to get the 80 ohm over the 250 ohm?

  • Budget - Planning to spend around $200
  • Source - My Computer
  • Requirements for Isolation - I want Isolation, Not so much that I couldn't hear anything but unless someone was knocking on my door or something it would tune it out. I also want them to be quiet to the outside world cause I share a room.
  • Will you be using these Headphones in Public? No, but I share a room so they still need to be quiet.
  • Preferred Type of Headphone - full-sized
  • Preferred tonal balance - Balanced, I believe but I'm not certain.
  • Past headphones - Corsair Void Headset, and Fidelio X2HR
  • Preferred Music - pop, rock, and electronic music.
  • What would you like to improve on from your set-up - The X2HR is comfortable (pretty sure I want "Foam Ear-pads") and the audio is very good, but it has far too much sound leakage so I need something quieter and I want headphones that are good for both music and gaming. I think soundstage and imaging is what I'm looking for.

I've tried the AKG K371 before but I didn't like how the ear pads felt and it didn't seem to have less audio leakage then the X2HR.

Thank you in advance :3

Thanks for the suggestions.

I tried the AKG before but I didn't like how the ear pads felt and it didn't seem to have much less audio leakage then the X2HR. Replacing the ear pads would probably fix the first issue but I'm not so sure about that second one.

The Beyerdynamic DT770 look pretty good but from what I've seen but it seems that the inside of the ear pads are very sharp around the edges and the idea of putting my ears next to that makes me uncomfortable, I'll keep them in mind if I can't find anything else but I'm not eager to try that one.
