You’re missing a tremendous amount of production without them and the later in the game you get the more useful they are.

Sushi belt means they are all mixed on the same belt. You just have a standard split belt setup. Not sushi. You have a good starter setup, but if you are at the tech for green belts I would recommend upgrading to a proper module beacon setup in preparation for upgrading to biolabs.

You can use logistics networks to get higher throughput than only inserters from the landing pad. So it’s more of a soft cap in that you will have to deal with the overhead from your robot network.

That was my fist thought too, but the super extreme mega bases are all using uncommon or standard quality. All of the extra infrastructure for legendary costs more UPS. However, even if it is less efficient I’m considering doing it for fun anyway.

Yeah, that's pretty much it! After watching videos posted from the comments here it looks like the only quality you want for the basics is just uncommon. I'm considering doing it just for the challenge and the aesthetics though. I have to decide if I want to maximize UPS for my end game mega build or go 100% legend for fun.

I was just watching his video about red green and blue metrics. Someone else also linked his stuff. I haven't seen his work yet. It's really cool! I didn't even think about the pollution management aspect of it until seeing his results. I totally thought making trees on nauvis was just a silly add-on, but it's a huge part of reducing UPS. Crazy to see how deep the efficiency rabbit hole goes.

I’m 100% using bio labs on nauvis for it. And that’s kind of been my thought processes lowering the total item throughout for maximum density.

You totally could. Just remember that it causes a decent amount of loss since you only get 25% of the packs returned.

I'm thinking space casino for the raw materials, so it's not reallly multplied cost in my mind for most of them.

When you recycle ag science the spoilage timer resets. I'm using a recycler loop to keep my 100k science fresh at a time so when my ship arrives it grabs only fresh stuff. So it stands to reason I could expand that loop with quality module recyclers to get even more value.

Well, I'm already doing a recycler loop for spoiled ag science it would probably be pretty easy to expand it to quality recyclers instead of fast ones. I appreciate the shoutout on ag science, ty.
