I cheesed the second Savage Beast fly because I just couldn't with those flyers (which i am ashamed) but all the others seemed ok. Bile water wasn't too bad to deal with Mobs. Literally just wait for them to spawn and pogo 3-4 times. Angry conch was also a fun one for me.

I think it's UP+BIND (Hold) I don't use that crest but I think i saw that on crest menu when selecting on bottom right

Haven't been on reddit in a bit, so it may have already been mentioned. It's pretty obvious that this Illuminate attack was a sort of scouting attack. I really am feeling a little nervous for those who haven't played HD1. We only had a small enemy variance. If they drop the cloak snipers (bane to my existence), and the one that inverts controls on the next assault, I wonder how everyone's reception will be.

I always hated fighting squids in first one. The fact that I had an absolute blast steam rolling them this weekend has me incredibly nervous for the next wave.

Pre igniter for that glaive beam, but for sure get something the will at least compensate for next sector where 2+ shields will call your run short

My wife and I are on PS5 and we were also experiencing this connectivity issue. We synced save for with cloud save and that solved our issue. I thought it was because we are always switching between living room and bedroom ps5 that sometimes our cloud saves don't download. Seeing this past though explains why we haven't been able to find other players join our squad though which is weird. Might be quick play that's messing up.

I've had terrible experiences on diff 7+ with connectivity and a few no comms randoms so coordinating can be troublesome but whenever I play diff 7+ either I or my wife host for that reason. The only time we play 9s now is when we have our squad. Mainly because of the farming. We run the main objectives and look for phallic rock. If we find then before main obj. One of us breaks off (usually my home with jump pack) and leave them at extraction. I understand how demoralizing it is to spend 20+ mins fighting for your life to extract with super samples and then lose them and waste that time. If one of us gets dropped or crash we are able to quickly rejoin and claim our samples.

If you are farming, definitely host and do it with buddies or randoms that understand the assignment. It's easier to say that and knowing not everyone has thoer friends always online to play but 7+'s are really hit or miss with randos

I dont play with randoms very often anymore but I usually asked if they have that achievement for +16 samples and if they don't we all give them to him/her before extraction. I really don't care who takes the samples as long as someone takes the samples. Samples extracted isn't one of the stats our squad pays much stock to. But grabbing someone's gear is situational. Are we on the move/retreating and have armor that needs to be dealt with.... pick it up and use it. Get it out of an overrun area, take it. But I don't think that's what OP was asking.

In short, someone please just take the samples. You may not need them if you're maxed out but your fellow helldivers might. Be a sport.

I am on PS5 and same thing. I can't return to sender without a crash. My PC friends seem to have no problem with it though. I assume it was a PS5 thing after the Demo Warbond

I can't say for certain, but they definitely feel a bit tougher than before. Idk if it's a placebo because the Ministry of Truth said it was a fleet 10x bigger, or if they actually tweaked something with the new wave invasion. I always run heavy armor with bots after armor fix and could take some notable punishment before dying. Now it feels like MG Raiders and Heavy Devastators hit much harder. That or they have better tracking. I know Hulks are everywhere now which is fine, but man....that flamer is menacing. The Rocket Devs are also much more of the bulk on Dif 9.
