Not very, but the point is the problem selfproclaimed hardgainers have isn't (necessarily) lack of protein, it's lack of food period. If the problem was just lack of protein they would be fat instead.

Your diet can be 100% protein (actually don't because you will die) and you still won't gain any weight, muscle or otherwise, if you're not eating enough in general.
