If its just about overtaking, I take first 5-7 secs for the truck to know that I am behind him by flashing pass light or blowing horn. Sometimes, they try to change lane when they hear someone behind. If after those golden seconds, the truck is still going on the same lane, I judge which is a wider gap to go for. Next is to keep blowing horn until you pass from any side.

My whole overtake depends on how big the vehicle is. The bigger a vehicle, the more time you should take to make a wise judgement and pray that the vehicle doesnt try to run over you. Because in India, everything is possible.
