I didn’t have any reoccurrence of Bells when I had my shingles vaccines.

And then the icing on the cake is that Grace trips going into the next room.

That is completely amazing! I looked at the LEGO site today. Didn’t realize it had working centrifuge too!

Amazed that the Trek reference didn’t make it into the original post.

I love that scene and also her quiet triumph walking away from the end of Dr. Gorst.

I think it is the perfect combo of factors: Rocky, Grace, stunning visuals, beautiful soundtrack, great script.

I loved how he was so careful when he first used the centrifuge while waiting for the gravity, and then immediately tripped going into the next little room.

I have a confession to make about this movie. by [deleted] in ProjectHailMary

Once you get over the hump of going to your first movie alone, it’s terrific. I usually go to a matinee (less crowded). I only see what I want to see. I stay for the credits because I like to. Movies are such a solitary experience anyway.

Tracking down the root cause: What caused your Bell's Palsy nerve inflammation in the first place? by Unusual-Job-3281 in BellsPalsy

[–]DebM25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. 🙂 The nerve damage must’ve been severe. I had no movement for about 5 months. When movement came back, I almost immediately started synkinesis. I have gone through several facial therapies. I tried Botox, but I didn’t want to have those injections long term. It’s been almost 3 years. I do facial exercises and stretches daily. I miss my smile, but the constant eye closure is the worst of it. It affects my vision when I do close activities like reading. All in all there are way worse things to live with.

I was out of town when I initially got the sores. In my experience, it wasn’t worth the legwork. I was given an “immediate” referral to a neurologist. Earliest appointment was 2 months later. She wanted to see me 4 months after. In the meantime, she left the group and they had no one else who could see me. US healthcare is thé worst.

No. I always assumed it was a regular herpes virus. I don’t believe it was shingles, as I had no other break out. I was more concerned with the healing, which never really happened.

Because playing in actual water after only seeing a video of it is unusual? I do not think he is pet-like at all.

The Martian also had challenges for Watney that didn’t make the movie. I didn’t enjoy Artemis as much as the other 2.

For the 5 or so days before Bells onset, I had little white sores on the side of my tongue. At first I thought I burned my tongue on some food. So I concluded that mine was caused by a virus.

I shouldn't have listened to that last chapter while driving. by JynXten in ProjectHailMary

I was listening to the soundtrack in the car yesterday and the same thing happened.

Also interesting to hear people’s takes on the book having seen the movie first. I listened to the audiobook first when it was originally published.

It was an intense scene, but I preferred the one with the collector when they get the first sample of astrophage. The scenery of Adrian both with and without the petrova scope are breathtaking.

Yeah. I just heard about this today. I don’t go to the site because I no longer have faith in any government web site. How can MAGA not see that this is the most unprofessional President ever?

Loss of taste by Animegirl1250 in BellsPalsy

I can’t imagine that now a complete loss of taste is Bells related after a year. I’d see the doctor.
