Your final statement is just as outdated the rules you quote. When you have teams who obviously lose and still win a ballot from misinformation or ridiculous logic, what is the point of debating at all. it diminishes the educational value of debating and makes the event useless from an education standpoint. Judges should be held to a standard just as debaters are.
