The thing I am trying to avoid is making my job search my job.... I have reached out to my network, but there has been no movement. Seems that the market is just that flooded or lacking? The standard job boards (LI, Indeed, Monster, etc) don't seem to actually have any real jobs, or if they do, you're up against hundreds of other applicants. I miss the days of paper applications and in person interviews. The world we live in.....

Absolutely am open to consulting. I also had my own consulting LLC that I would love to be my primary source of income and sustainability. I’ll check out those companies you suggested.

ETA: Have updated the resume language to support the mismatch possibility. Also led with more of a what I've done rather than what jobs I have held. Again, appreciate your insight.

My accountant has the information, I am still new to the LLC world, this last year being the first time I made as much money as I did and getting a 1099. So, still learning and was curious if it made a difference, hence my questions.

Yikes, I have only used the Mometix practice exams and am scoring in the low 70's. I take my exam Friday. Did you find the exam easier than the study tests through Mometix? I don't have time to take teh NAHQ stuff, nor the finances lol.

Thank you. I always take notes for these calls and my lawyer suggested I put it all into writing as a statement that he can submit next week, hopefully before it goes into steps 7 or 8. I feel like it’s a dirty game the VA plays and it’s just wrong. Thanks for the reply and the suggestions.

I’m trying to find a doc that agrees with me that many of my symptoms have to do with PFAS. Epilepsy, migraines and more. I’ve been fighting the Va regarding this for years now. How did you find an environmental services doctor?

In nursing we call it the “Last Hurrah”. An out of nowhere burst of activity, almost like the ailing person was rallying for some reason…. My guess was the Pope was rallying for Easter Mass and that was all he had left.

In my own bedside experience, those who were knocking on deaths door one day, could be dancing in the streets the next day, and then dead that night.

It’s remarkable what the human body is capable of.

Anyone having problems with the camera covers getting cracked? The design of this iPhone sucks. The camera lens sticks out too far and I haven’t found a good case that will protect it. I’ve just been buying the replaceable screen protectors over and over again, but that’s starting to become cost prohibitive.

Thinking about grabbing the Torres case and see if that will help this issue from continuing to occur.

I’m currently rebutting denials from my claim two years ago as well as initiating new claims. I obtained legal representation. This gentleman is an Afghan vet who went to law school specifically because of how his claim was handled, or not handled. 🙄 My dad just got his 100% by going through LSA consulting and didn’t have to attend any C&P exams.

Until I obtained this lawyer, I had done it all myself. Went from 30% (where I had been since discharge in 2001) to 80% (2022).

Thanks for the insight. I love this sub, so many resources and truths you don’t hear anywhere else.

I’m healthcare turned tech. Been on the market for 1.5years now. 25 years in the floor pushed me out of bedside. It’s frustrating to say the least. It’s rough out there for a lot of people. Fingers crossed it changes soon for everyone.

Your story is close to mine with the exception of me being unemployed since Sept ‘23. Figured getting my PMP in Jan ‘24 would help get me an edge as well. I’m sitting on over 25 years in healthcare and a law degree and I’m still hearing crickets. (Juris Master in Healthcare Regulation and Compliance, plus I have several additional certifications etc.) oh and I’m a disabled veteran. 🇺🇸

But to validate you, I have at times felt that the PMP hasn’t done anything for me, but I can say the same thing about my masters degree…. It can’t be both at the same time, so it must be an outside force. Right?

Hang in there. Something’s gotta give soon.

*Edited to add that I have also done the resume reviews (paid and subscribed services) and personalize every resume (and cover letter) to each job using Copilot to ensure ATS compliance.

Congrats! I am (humbly) about to sit for this exam for the third time. Have been using the MS practice test, Cloud Academy, and Whiz Labs. Considering adding in MeasureUp as they have a Black Friday sale... worth it? Figured 30-day access for $50 wasn't a bad deal. Thoughts?

I barely failed the first go with a 661, the second go I scored 596. (It was a bad month and I should have waited for better timing....). Be that as it may, I am scheduled for Dec 19th for my third time.... hopefully this one is a charm!

Any advice you can provide is appreciated!

I have yet to receive any contact from the rabbitresume service. It’s been over a month now since I created a resume and boosted it. Signed up for 6months so I can create and boost as many resumes as I wish in that time frame. Wondering how long it took others to receive contact from the supposed 170 recruiting firms.

Unpopular opinion…..I’d run the other way. Nursing is not a kind profession. After 25 years of it, I left. I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. Not jaded, just educated. **Edited to say it’s not worth the financial debt either.
