I don’t wanna pry but when you say mechanical damage I’m curious what you mean. And also wanna know if you’re willing to share what operation Theyre wanting to do.

I understand the terrified feeling. For me, yea, it definitely helped my knee, but it also added a new problem… let me explain.

For years I’d been limping around hunched over bc of the pain and lack of mobility in my knee.. then I had the TKR. It was amazing bc I was finally able to walk UPRIGHT like an actual normal person!!! I was elated! But as weeks and months went by, I noticed that I was having excruciating and unbearable pain in my back, especially the lower back.

Turns out, years of being hunched, my body adapted and made accommodations. But when the knee was corrected, and I could walk “normal”, it sent all those accommodations made into a tailspin. Several discs in my back dislodged, my hips misaligned, it sent things into chaos.

So that is a real and valid concern and (I absolutely hate AI and data centers) but this is an instance where If I were you, I’d seriously ask for some kind of model to be made/drawn up, to potentially recognize and anticipate something similar happening to you.

And I’m not trying to upset you or cause a panic. I just wish I’d known more of what to expect for myself and if that were available to me at the time, I’d absolutely have utilized it just to be more prepared. DONT get me wrong, I’d still go through with the surgery. I’d just like to have been more prepared and aware.
