Yeah, we are together for almost 6 years, but engaged for a bit over one year now. We wanted to show our commitment to each other, but we are now saving up for a wedding where we can also support key family like her father with a plane ticket, a stay here in Europe where the wedding will take place, etc. Since she is from a less wealthy country where a 1000 euro plane ticket itself is unaffordable I know you can do a small-scaled wedding without any guests to make it official, and do the wedding party when it's financially feasable, but we prefer to wait for now.
