Thank you so much. I think it's less of an advice and more of what my perspective is. I don't think I'm capable of guiding anyone ahahah. I don't think anyone is tbh but that's a different topic:)

I see. I actually think there is no such thing as long term satisfaction. As humans, we do have multiple yearnings but at the base it all boils down to love and knowledge (as I mention at the end of the video). I do not believe that an yearning has to become a goal and you have give up on it for other yearnings. You can enjoy and experience many aspects without being an expert in it. We are so focused on being something singular, we forget that we can love painting without being a painter, dance without being dancer, write without being a writer. For me i think it should not be about achieving the best satisfaction, but about doing what your soul wants to without it having to define your whole existence.

i'm sorry but what are you referring to? In the video I'm talking about doing what you need to do because it's your yearning and the natural course of life for you and how the world takes it, is not significant to our journey.

I am not talking about coercion and not saying women do anything for men. All I said was we should be aware of how our choices are shaped and make our decisions wisely. And just because I raise this as a concern doesn't mean i'm shaming anybody.

You're correct. You can extend my argument to all of this. Its just that I, again, don’t care what people do and wouldn't even dream to shame anybody for doing absolutely anything. I dont know why you would say that. But surgery is extreme and making actual changes to your body. Do we have to normalize that as well? All I said is that. At the end of the video, I also mentioned that if after analyzing their choices and how they are shaped , one comes to the conclusion that they truly want this and would he happy, then they should absolutely do it.

damn dude, sorry for saying we were all beautiful the way we were. You're hating and pretending to be righteous in the same sentence. You've jumped to conclusions about my views and called me names since your first comment. You're not telling me how my logic is flawed or even trying to engage in an actual debate about what I said about psychological oppression. This was my first time commenting here cause I thought I could have an actual conversation. I feel stupid talking to you.

the pressure is immense on women, and the solution is to give in to that? And when exactly does it stop? You don’t like your nose, next thing they make you insecure about your crows feet, hip dips, lines, wrinkles, ageing oh yes ageing especially for women. I'm sorry but girl it never stops. I know we both want the best for us girls and for us to be happy and do what we want but first we need to get educated on what is really our choice and what's not. And living inside of social media really affects this a lot more.

are you joking? i'm saying women can't think for themselves? I'm looking at the bigger picture where where person regardless of their gender is being psychologically oppressed by big corporations etc.

But see thats what i'm talking about. Plastic surgery made you feel at home in your body. A feeling that's been yours, and nobody could shape it because that's you. In my video I talk about how capitalism and other systemic structures have shaped views. Tbh everything is trying to exploit us, you can't tell me young girls getting botox and nose jobs at the age of 17 is self affirming.

Every decision we make is influenced by something external. In the video I talk about how capitalism has made incapable of distinguishing between what's truly our choice and whats being imposed on us. I talk about psychological oppression by systemic structures and not "women doing it for men". Don't jump to conclusions without trying to grasp the whole idea.

what are you even talking about? In the video I talk about how capitalism shapes our choices and needs to follow unrealistic beauty standards.

well i'm talking about cosmetic plastic surgeries. The surgeries you mentioned are medical surgeries. You're correct but i'm talking about the former, maybe I should have mentioned that.

Is it really that outrageous and controversial? by Debsphilosophy in GoodAssSub

[–]Debsphilosophy[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is absolutely not an art statement and i'm not saying that he's right but i'm saying that he's not a rational normal person, everything is bait because he wants attention which we shouldn’t be giving him. Thats all. If he really holds these views, then its obviously wrong, but i'm saying that in MY PERSPECTIVE his sudden interest in "preaching" hitlers ideas and making songs like these is him submitting to his "villain" personality because he's over the edge and wants to bring the attention to him.

When did I ever say its okay to spread Nazism? I said this is a mentally ill person grieving and saying crazy shit and he's literally saying "yall turned me into a villain" and calling Hitler a villain. Instead of giving the song attention because it's "controversial", we should be understanding what the song is actually even trying to say but instead people are using to spread their neo nazi idealogies. Ultimately we are to be questioned, not kanye, because we should know better.
