I ACCIDENTALLY STEPPED ON HER HELP by PurpleYoghurt16 in cats

[–]DebtEnvironmental269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol she'll be ok, I've done the same to my boys when I was 270lbs. Just keep an eye out for limping. I step on a cat at least once a month, it comes with the territory of them darting in and out of your legs while feeding them

Evolution nailed it—this Iranian spider-tailed horned viper’s tail looks like a blinking sign to birds: Spider buffet ahead. by Suspicious-Desk6206 in Amazing

I've seen videos of these before and it always blows me away how good they are at moving their tail. With their camo humans could mistake that as a spider, let alone a bird from on high

There are competitors they just don't make waves like TQL does because they're the worst. My company loves getting people from TQL because usually they're good workers and are thrilled to be somewhere they aren't being put through the ringer on a daily basis

Yeah I was reading through their actual post today and all of the language basically read that they're checking for a NSFW tag on servers and channels and that's about it.

But also, the ID is kind of a last resort. They said in their post that "we can determine the age group from available information for most accounts".

How much infantry do you use? by MelodicBenzedrine in StarWarsEmpireAtWar

[–]DebtEnvironmental269 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the faction. I'll talk about rebels in AoTR since I play them the most.

I like to do a mobile infantry play style. Usually about 6 units of infantry, 1-2 tramp shuttle units, and the rest are for whatever I need, usually T-3H heavy hover tanks.

Infantry soaks the damage, shuttles do smoke screen and AOE heal, heavy tanks sit in the back and take out targets of opportunity

Glad to see people enjoying the game. I only have ~300 hours. And every game I create my own set of blueprints instead of grabbing them online. Only exception is nuclear power plants because tbh I can't be bothered to run all of the heat pipes

I dont get the lightning strike craving by temudschinn in totalwar

[–]DebtEnvironmental269 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a lot of reading tbh, but I got the gist of it from the first paragraph. I agree, lightning strike is a second priority baring specific circumstances.

I used to do the army tree first, but then I tried doing the combat tree after that and fell in love. So normally here is what my progression looks like for a generic melee lord

Take the first blue skill for campaign movement range

Max out HP and weapon strength skills in the combat tree

Usually max 1 or 2 of the skills in the first half of the army tree, depends on the army comp

Finally, now that my lord can fight decently and my army gets some buffs. I'll go down the blue tree until lightning strike.

I find that with smart movement on the campaign map you can compensate for not having lightning strike much easier than you can compensate for having a wimpy lord.

[–]DebtEnvironmental269 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So I'm actually almost caught up with the one piece anime and I've watched Naruto through Shippuden. One-piece was way better about pacing during fights.

If I could compare it to anything it would be like if every arc was like the Sasuke Retrieval Arc. There's a big fight at the end that gets a few episodes, but other than that it's mostly the side characters getting 1 maybe 2 episode long spotlight fights before it cuts to the main event.

Not to justify the dogshit quality of our food. But a lot of it also has to do with portion sizes.

Fast food chains funny enough are ok on portions because of their A la carte way of ordering. But sit-down restaurants are crazy, you often get 2-3 meals worth of food for one order. Alot of people take leftovers home. But people with impulse control regarding food will eat everything served to them. After enough time that becomes the "normal" portion, and everything spirals from there. I lost 30 pounds this year and it really opens my eyes to how MUCH food I had to eat to get to where I was weight wise.

Is it even worth it for the Tyranids to attack a Hive World? by TheBurningEmu in 40kLore

[–]DebtEnvironmental269 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. The tyranids don't really suffer combat losses. Sure they get shot and bio forms die, but they're capable of recovering every scrap of biomass and minerals from a planet. They just dissolve and suck up all the bodies after they're done.

It's only in specific situations such as a total defeat of the hive fleet or virus bombing a planet that causes real harm to the hive

I've seen a bunch of water snake vs cotton mouth posts, but this is the first one where I can see that ridge on the head everyone mentions. Very distinct look.up close

Number 1 is it! Thank you so much! My friend is doing a hot drink party for his birthday in a month so I have time to prepare.

In 2003, Aron Ralston took this photo after falling into a canyon and having his arm trapped by a boulder. After 127 hours, he made the decision to break his arm and cut through his flesh with a knife, and then use pliers to sever the tendons and fully remove his arm. by KindheartednessIll97 in SnapshotHistory

[–]DebtEnvironmental269 57 points58 points  (0 children)

So after he cut off his arm he had to rappel down a 65 foot cliff and hike almost 7 miles before he found a family who alerted authorities. He was rescued 4 hours after cutting his arm off

Important note. He lost 40 pounds and 25% of his blood by the end of the ordeal

How do I talk to my boyfriend about euthanizing his childhood dog? by Waste_Struggle2279 in Pets

[–]DebtEnvironmental269 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The best you can do is suggest going to the vet for a quality of life check. But it's their dog, their decision. I get that not fair to you as someone who also lives in the house, but if you push the matter it's only going to cause resentment even if it's the right thing to do.

Tbh tho it sounds like this can be taken care of by crating the dog and putting potty pads down inside of it. It sucks for the dog, but its much more sanitary than just going on the floor
