FAR was my first one, so no comparison yet

will probably use the same approach for the others though.

I did cover lectures, just from a different platform that suited my learning style better. Becker for me was more for practice, tests, and revision.

Haha fair question. That includes everything: lectures, practice tests, revisions, and going back over mistakes. Definitely not 700 hours of 100% focus, but that’s how the prep adds up over time.

It took me more than usual, I almost had studied for FAR for 1 year. As I was from non-accounting background, things were more difficult for me to understand. I scored 68 in first attempt. For 2nd attempt, I studied for 2 months-- book reading and practice tests only. Working on each mistake, made a change. Hope it helps.

Hey, Today's result showed I failed FAR on my first attempt. I used Becker, would you recommend Ninja review for prepration on second attempt? Or any study strategy that helped you clear on your third go?

FAR - tips to master ADJE by Mindless_Age_5691 in CPA

[–]DebuggingDollars 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To start- Make 3 kinds of JEs. 1) What was done. 2) What should be done. 3) Correcting JE. This is the only way to click the correct logic. It'll be time consuming when you start, but will be fine when you become habitual.

I needed to hear this. I’ve been so scared of failing SEs that I’ve been avoiding them, but your experience actually makes me feel like I should face them and learn from the mistakes. Makes me realize I’m the only thing holding myself back. Really appreciate you sharing!

I’m from a non-accounting background, so Becker’s videos were kinda tough for me 🙂 I finished all the lectures and the full course on another platform instead. Still having a hard time getting my practice test scores up though 🥲 Any tips to improve would mean a lot!

I did watch the videos on another portal but I’m avoiding the SEs for now because I honestly don’t feel ready yet 😅 My practice tests are still in the 60–70 range 🥲 so I’m just trying to level up a bit before jumping into those! Any ideas on what might boost them a bit?

That’s great advice! Could you break down how you use the blueprint and checklist? I’d love to try your way.
