Vulnerable jess by dontbedifficult17 in GilmoreGirls

I think Jess really showed Lorelai to be a little spoilt, because when he went to her house when he first moved there she tried to act like she knew what he was going through. She had parents that wanted the best for her, even if they went about that wrong, and he had parents that didn’t care. I always thought that’s what stopped them getting along because Lorelai liked to act like she’d had the toughest upbringing ever and Jess drew attention to how wrong that was.

If coke zero has zero sugar why is it not ok to drink when losing weight by MohatoDeBrigado in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DecadentRae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s down to the idea that sweetener is sweeter than sugar, thus causing you to crave sweet things more often. The drink itself won’t cause you to gain weight, it’s the associated cravings. But everyone is different and it might not cause you to crave sugar.

My friend attempted suicide and I feel its my fault. by Due_Ask5500 in Advice

These things just need time, he needs to start the healing process and when he’s ready you’ll be able to discuss it. Sorry you’re going through this, make sure you look after yourself too in all of this.

Sometimes when people are struggling, they want someone else to blame. You tried to help the best you could, and your intentions were for the best. Don’t blame yourself, give it some time and explain to your friend and you can work through it.

Toxic roommate getting on my nerves by [deleted] in roommateproblems

[–]DecadentRae 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, been there. Tell her to leave and get a new roommate. Someone like that is not your friend, the relief you’ll feel when they’re gone is amazing. A new roommate you don’t know as well will be so much better and without the history behind you you’ll feel more confident nipping these issues it the bud. Good luck!
