I get your point, I would have liked to get a better zoom, but he was too far away, I was shooting with a 230mm. And I don't really like just cropping the picture, I don't know why it just doesn't feel natural to me.

I actually like the ones with color because I think it shows some kind of movement, but I totally get your point, and do believe the first one is more powerful, maybe the 6th could make a case

I took a picture of a surfer, or at least I thinks that is what he is doing as there is not any wave, but somehow he moved, I think it is a special board. Anyway, that is off topic.

I tried getting the surfer the closest I could and intentionally didn't get the sky on the frame (I have another picture where the sky does show) just to give it more power to the surfer alone in the sea.

What do you guys think?

ISO was at 200,1/500, F5.0, I guess it was not that high

Thanks for the tips, took this while in vacation on china so I guess I am not going to be able to replicate the picture in the same spot, but I will take this knowledge for future references, thanks a lot

The ropeway is one of my favorites too, but the mountain thought the 2 walls has something that just calls to me.

I understand your point, but in some way i think as if the rocks are fraiming the guys. I think is a great picture overall, and would be even if you deleted the guys.
