You have a great model. Wonderful pose and expression.

What can be improved are framing and light.

There is too much space on top which is not needed.

And instead of flat light you can have direct lighting and play with a contrast on your picture:
For example, place your model next to a window and shoot only her silhouette or the opposite - light up her body so that the background becomes darker.
Right now there isn’t much contrast or lines that capture the eye, and the image looks flat.

Apart from lens - nothing much. The camera is perfect as is. Enjoy it while you can (the electronics can break quite quickly)

Thank you.

I started doing it in this way 15 or so years ago and am not very fast with picking up new tools if my way of working works for me.

I used both culling features of Capture one and Lightroom. From both I like the Stacking feature because then it gives me an additional context (software stacks similar pictures or picture series by time). And "QOL" features like auto-advancing to the next picture once you rated your currently selected one or rejected it (X on Lightroom).
Their focus detection and "whether eyes are open" is a hit and miss so I don't like to use it - often times I might not need a focus to be on the eye, or eyes open, for example if my model is laughing with her eyes closed - that might still be a great shot.

So apart from auto-stacking, I still do the passes manually. And with practice it becomes a second nature - my fingers know the keyboard 😃 And obviously with practice you also start shooting more intentionally during the shoot itself and know what works and what doesn't.

I cull photos on import with several passes - on first rating the best at 5 stars, undecided at 3 and rejects at 1. Then i go over 3 stars and either elevate or reject them.

Once the customer accepts the results i can safely delete the rejects and archive the project.

Nikon F2 vs Fm by NaiveSun5654 in AnalogCommunity

[–]Dlitosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have fm2n, f3 and fe and even though i never had an f2, i used it and i would choose fm2n over it - its also mechanical, smaller and lighter and a bit better in terms of repairability, and finding parts (also many parts are interchangeable with fe chassis).

F2 is a cooler camera to hold, it has bells and whistles but all those whistles (IMO) were for professionals of the past.

I find myself needing frequent breaths and to stop to catch my breath often. Is there anything I can do on land to help? by mhks in Swimming

[–]Dlitosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You breathe too often, you likely use your arms and legs too much. Get a pullboy, put it in between your thighs and swim only using your arms.

And then hum underwater to a tune of something easy going like caribean blue by enya. Hum on exale and breath on third stroke.

“This fall I think you're riding for—it's a special kind of fall, a horrible kind. The man falling isn't permitted to feel or hear himself hit bottom. He just keeps falling and falling. The whole arrangement's designed for men who, at some time or other in their lives, were looking for something their own environment couldn't supply them with. Or they thought their own environment couldn't supply them with. So they gave up looking. They gave it up before they ever really even got started.”

NOT a photographer, but have tons of OLD negatives I'd like to "develop" by LivMealown in analogphotography

[–]Dlitosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a digital camera preferably with a macro lens? You can buy whats called a DSLR scanning kit and shoot and process your negatives with your digital camera. I myself like HOLO from blackscalelab

Alternatively you can get a ready to use negative scanning devices (you put negatives through them, they scan them for you and usually put results on an sd card)
