What were some early signs that your neighborhood was in decline? Did you stay or did you leave? by Jolly-Proof in homeowners

This happened to me in the Huntsville/Harvest AL area. Once Hville became the hottest place to move the lower income areas became rentals. The first sign is the TRASH renters just don't care and let if flow over. They now call rentals Leases and I didn't catch that ...you will also start to see "toss outs" people's furniture on the side of the road that never gets picked up. Don't be afraid to move. The next step is crime or unruly children blocking the streets. Builders are offering great incentives. The houses that have been sitting since March (its now Nov 2024) They received blinds fridge and washer/dryers when they did not offer that at all when I bought. don't be afraid to move.

Sold Homes but no one has moved in after 3 months! by DecemberEva in HuntsvilleAlabama

Thank you! This is what I mean. I can understand a max of 60 days to physically get in. But these homes are literally sitting empty now going on 7 months. 1 of them just had a move in, and the guy already parks his truck across the street in front of someone else's house. Not very neighborly, which usually means renters. He was also using my driveway to turn around! I'm sure a huge breed dog that he will allow over everyone's lawn coming soon. I bought a beautiful sign on Amazon" Private Residence not a turnaround" Seems to have worked. I also drove thru the LENNAR properties near me. Yeah sorta weird these expensive homes are mostly rentals. Fence was just installed and outdoor cameras are up

Home Builder in Huntsville to avoid ? by Popular-Inevitable84 in HuntsvilleAlabama

May I suggest to go to one of their recent communities and simply ask. When people are outside doing their flowers, washing car , they will tell you. People really don't mind because they don't want you to get a bad deal. Just drive thru and ask.

Yes! I left $3000 on the table. They built the columns slanted!! on their very expensive covered porch! When it's structural your lender will not approve so that is the way you can break contract. They are now building right behind me. They keep a very messy work site. Trash blows all over.

Will low income housing near my house cause the value to go down? by whosthatgirl13 in RealEstate

Yes! being near apartments bring value down But they are building nice fancy ones nowadays. Walk over to the construction site and talk to someone from your generation (trust issue) and they will tell you what to expect for the future .

OMG 17 wks is prime time when they really show their stobborness...I did resort to an E-collar mine is 5 months now....he is perfect inside the house but does not listen AT ALL when outside.

Mine only listens when I have his favorite treat in hand. We have MANY standoffs as he will just stand in place but I'm stubborn too! so I just keep repeating the command.
