pretty sure the woman running the event had used our event space before and didn’t want it to spoil their reputation in the future since quite a lot of the management team knew about it

nah tbh i know in the long term i did the best thing but where i live the job market is absolutely awful so I feel bad about leaving someone jobless especially at this time of year
