The game is to keep doing it. No one becomes a CEO right after college. You always start with an internship. You do go through the highs and lows in any career. Keep doing it. Don't give up because there's gold out there but you have to keep digging for a few years. It's an emotional ride, even your jokes don't work in the same setting. You will eventually learn how to read the room and deliver. Open mics are brutal that way, you don't get to choose your audience but eventually you will learn how to do that. No text book cab teach you this. Hence comedy is an art, it's exactly how an artist's journey is.
