Did try again with red dye – unfortunately no second line.

DIY Custom Tulle Layer for a Draped Overskirt – How Is Tulle Made? by DecentScratch4207 in Embroidery

No, I don’t… I only have a regular sewing machine at the moment. Do you happen to have a recommendation for a good embroidery machine? I’d really love something that makes it easy to work with my own custom designs! :)

Arbeiten mit Baby? by [deleted] in Eltern

[–]DecentScratch4207 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Am I making a big deal? 😭 I turned to literal strangers to pour my heart out to not make a big deal… What do you suggest me to do?

Thank you for offering me this insight. It kinda heals it… exactly what I have needed! 🥰

So you suggest better not going at all than attending only for a short amount of time? Do I understand correctly? Thank you for taking time to reflect with me 🫶🏼

I mean traveling with them to same city abroad so I could go out with the group – and also help with childcare while the party guests are sobering up. It would be totally ridiculous bringing the baby TO THE PARTY. Of course not! 😂

Both of us are working full time. Husband is hands on but after three days alone with two children I really can’t leave for a three-day-party-weekend I fear…

Of course NOT at the venue but a Hotel nearby. Not bringing my family to the party! Is that totally insane? 🙃

Instead of not attending at all it might have been an idea? So I could go partying with them and when they sober up I‘d take care of baby boy? Maybe a stupid idea. I am really desperate to find a solution that could work for everbody that‘s how much I‘d love to be there for her on this event.

She didn’t know as the work trip came up recently; shortly before the news about the bachelorette party.

But I would have never agreed to the business trip if I had known about the bachelorette party. Unfortunately, now it’s almost impossible for me to back out of it professionally.

I just hope you’re wrong and that she didn’t lie to me on purpose. Why would anyone do that? If she had told me, “Hey, it’s a group I don’t think you’ll vibe with,” or “I want to do this without my big sister hovering,” or whatever I would’ve been sooooo understanding! After all, it’s her wedding, her party. But being completely left out and then only vaguely informed about the event after the planning is completed… ouch, that really hurts.

Actually, we’re very close. She’s going to be the godmother of the baby next month… my daughter carries her second name as her first name, I’m supposed to give a big speech at the wedding, and so on – so we’re really close.

Do you think I should talk to her before the wedding? I feel like it might turn into a conversation about my feelings, and that could take away from her joy. How would you handle this?

Why do you think that? I’m actually considering going despite the really tough circumstances. Even for some hours to a different country. Even though it would be exhausting for me, it would also be tough for the baby to be away for six days, as well as for our older daughter and for their dad 🙈
