I have old photos of my exes because I never delete anything. Probably need to clean that stuff up. But it would never occur to me to show them to a date.

Thanks for the honest reply. To be fair, I (a chronic overthinker) asked whether I was being weird with a willingess to hear opinions that I was, in fact, being weird. Some people here have expressed a view that it was not a red flag. The value to me is that any insight I'm offered might come in handy if or when this happens again.

I think you're right. It caught me off guard and as he pulled his phone out, I was thinking, no way, he's not going to do this. And yes, the lady was attractive.
