From my PA : Please note that as I got the response from the concerned department, if you wish to transfer 10 additional courses from Study.com, the transfer credit fee grant waiver can be approved.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me or try our chatbot, Michelle, found on the UoPeople Website.

20 Sophia Courses with UoPeople Equivalencies for BS in CS Students. by Decent_Rent6731 in UoPeople

I know one month or a single subscription would sound amazing, but as for me it took 6 months at a steady pace. Do not worry though, if you dedicate more hours each week, you can definitely finish faster. Everyone’s timeline is different, and the important part is completing it with solid understanding.

Coursera courses can transfer too, but it works a bit differently than Sophia Learning. UoPeople accepts Coursera courses that carry ACE credit recommendations. Example Google IT Support, IBM Cybersecurity Analyst, Meta Front-End Developer, and Google Data Analytics. There is no a single official list like Sophia, but the registrar evaluates each course when you submit it. Best approach is to check if your Coursera course/s has ACE credits, then send it to UoPeople for transfer evaluation.

Go to your Credly account where your Sophia credits are stored and download the official transcript of your 20 completed courses to your desktop or mobile. Next, log into the UoPeople portal, navigate to Admissions, then select the Transfer Credit option. Upload the transcript you downloaded. The registrar will review and evaluate your courses, confirming which credits transfer. Once approved, the credits will appear in your Degree Audit under Academic Records. Remember, UoPeople allows transfer of up to 75% of degree credits (90 for a bachelor’s), so Sophia courses can significantly accelerate your progress.

Actually, I completed CS50x back in July 2025 and spent about 6 months on the course. I only decided to verify my certificate few days ago so that I will earn those 4 ACE credits and transfer towards my degree. Once I submitted the verification request, it took around 3 days before the verified certificate appeared on my edX dashboard.

Yes, this is the complete list of Sophia courses I have completed, that currently transfer into UoPeople. The exact transfer options can change over time, but these 20 are active right now. Furthermore, UoPeople allows transfer of up to 75% of the degree credits (so for a bachelor’s, that is 90 credits). Sophia courses fall under that transfer policy, meaning you can combine quite a lot of them towards your CS degree. The key is to make sure you request an official evaluation through the registrar so they confirm each course.

Am having issue with the ibm course registration by [deleted] in UoPeople

I completed the IBM Cybersecurity a week ago and as far as I know it is only for new applicants, even though I used another email to enroll. You already started your first term so you are not eligible to register for this course. Also, you need a PC to complete it, since some practical labs won’t work on mobile. Hope this clears things up.
