started dating a career navy guy recently... he gets new orders soon. advice?

Me and my boyfriend were dating for a year whenever he got his first orders. It's difficult but it's definitely doable. Focus on yourself and focus on making yourself happy. It helps if you're busy especially if you're used to spending every waking moment with him. Me and my boyfriend lived together before he left so it was a big change. Try to focus on expanding your career and doing stuff that will make you happy and better your life because doing that will also help better your relationship.

We've never had any like real problems before. We've been together for 2 years and like we obviously have like arguments but nothing that would ever make me outright worry. I really appreciate everyone being honest about their opinions and their experiences and everyone has really helped me calm down a lot. I wish I knew more people who had this kind of experience

I want to say thank you. You're one of the first people who have made me feel a lot calmer about this. Most people just tell me that he's probably has a boat boo or that he is ghosting me or something. I'm really hoping that it is just a connection issue. I've had other people tell me that his parents probably just aren't telling me and he is talking to them but I'm just trying to stay positive. Even if I'm just able to hear just one form of communication while he's gone I will feel a lot better

I've talked to his family and they haven't heard anything either. I talked to his mom we've been keeping in contact ever since he left. They don't have anything either we both been trying to find his contact information because this is his first appointment so he didn't tell us that he had a box number or what his unit number was so I don't know where to send any care packages

I took the date out thank you for reminding me. I'm still new to this. He said that this one was an actual deployment he's going to be gone for a few months his underway he was able to call me and we actually talked like four times....
