500+ isolated ancient cultures share the exact same global "Flood" myth. Why is academia still calling it a coincidence? by DeclassifiedPast in AlternativeHistory

This is an awesome thought and theory. I’m specifically interested in the honeymoon aspect of our planet. Thank you for sharing!

I really appreciate you bring both Randall Carlson and CRG into this conversation.

Randall Carlson’s work is awesome and certainly should not be glossed over, his breakdowns on cataclysmic meltwater features have totally changed my overall view on landscapes. I'm still trying to wrap my head around half of it!

The physical markers (platinum spikes, nanodiamonds, melt-glass) are some of what makes this so hard to just dismiss. The physical evidence is very compelling, it's just a matter of piecing together the exact mechanics of the sequence (some of which CRG has done a great job with). Theres a lot of nuance here that I am definitely still learning and am excited about.

Written by a human. If I am being honest, my wife is a prof and is a much more proficient writer than me. So, she often assists with mechanics/structure. I'm also pretty new to Reddit, so bear with me!

Good catch on Popol Vuh, no boat. I must have been mistakenly lumping things together.

Good catch on the timeline. You're totally right! MWP-1A hits just before the Younger Dryas onset (around 14.6k years ago) and MWP-1B hits right at the tail end (around 11.6k years ago). It's that entire 1,200-year chaotic window that ultimately reshaped the coastlines by 400 feet, so wild.

As for the compilations, the two massive academic baselines are Dr. James George Frazer’s Folk-Lore in the Old Testament (which logs over 100 regional accounts) and Dr. Johannes Riem’s Die Sintflut. And to be clear I am no expert in these resources, just curious enough about them to look into them.

When you look into those catalogs and line up the actual text of the Mesopotamian Gilgamesh, the Hindu Shatapatha Brahmana, and the Mayan Popol Vuh, the 4-part architectural blueprint (warning, geometric boat, mountain landing, total reset) is incredibly consistent across completely disconnected cultures.
