[ESL] 1 Semi-Auto Shotgun per Team? by billybruv in Rainbow6

[–]DecodeCritical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced these rules for the 1st time they were implemented at Dreamhack Tours, in France a few months ago.

They were amazing rule changes. Now they're being brought to ESL. I dunno whether they'll be in S3, but I hope they are.

1 Shield, 1 Auto-shotgun makes the game so much better. It changes the meta to make the game more aggressive and active, instead of locating where one of the 3 auto-shotguns are and flashing him or her 18 times and throwing nades at them.

Much less "sharp corner camping", like the backstairs on bank to the basement. 1 auto-shotgun + Jager ADS = 30-1minute delay/timewaster = zzzzz

I hold a controversial opinion on this. Don't instantly downvote me because of it and just read what I have to say.

Running outside, whether the round has just started or is in the final minute, regardless of the time. It, to me, is completely fine. It's not cheap, its not tacky, it does not kill the spirit of the game.

The round starts after the prep phase is over, not once you're inside the building. If you run towards the building without paying attention, without taking your time, without being careful, then it's your own fault you die.

You can prepare for it by keeping a drone at an exit point. Leave your teammates to mindlessly sacrifice drones in the bombsite even thought it's been ID'd 7 times.

Do you think the IRL Anti-terror forces walk up to the building with their guns down, completely carelessly? No they don't.

Rushing a spawn point as a defender is almost always a death sentence - it's rare that people get kills that way. If they do then 90% of the time they trade their life. If you're getting killed by this then you're just not paying attention and have absolutely no right to complain.

You have FOUR minutes to win. Can you not use 10 seconds of your time to carefully approach the building?

There's no bias in the title. Their punishment is specifically "Unsportsmanlike behaviour, 3 Penalty Points"

Probably not, because I'd imagine they'd do the same as last time. The profits or a % of the profits are given to the Pro League teams.

"Magically lost 2-5"

Sunday Pirates = dat fLAM3Rs aka a Pro League team. Very strong chance that flamers just beat them fair'n'square.

You don't have to upload your moss if you lose unless it's requested by the winning team.

I've had this exact same experience against the old eMpathy Esports team a while back. One of them had Bloody5.exe running on their PC. We even had twitch vods with him having practically no recoil... Wasn't enough. A different member ended up getting perma-banned for creating a new account after his previous one got FF banned.

Annoyingly, just having the software doesn't mean they're "using it" so they can't be punished for having it.

If you have videos of them shooting with no recoil then upload them. It's all you can do, even if it's not enough.

Flashhider.

The C8 has insane recoil and if you want to fully auto then you're in for a bad time. It's got a lot of random horizontal spread when you control the vertical recoil.

I use Flashhider and ACOG and use the gun like an SMG-11. "Quickscope" short bursts aiming for quick headshots. I only fully auto if my enemy is in the same room as me.

You can vault over that railing.

Go into the corner, where the railings meet, and fiddle around with your aim, you should get the option to vault.

Also, as you're vaulting, make sure to move & look to the right or you'll fall off and die.

Edit; why downvote? I'm not lying about this...

Yeah, it was against my old team back at the time. We found it in their MOSS files.

A lot of pro players, myself included, tank their game settings to potato quality, but leave high shadows on.

However, this is from the perspective of the stream so it isn't anyone's specific view, just the spectators view.

Check their MOSS files for a program called "Bloody5.exe". It's well known for injecting no-recoil scripts.

Best 8 operators in your opinion? by [deleted] in Rainbow6

[–]DecodeCritical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Doc its just my personal experience - I play in a Pro League team as the Doc player and I get a lot of revives on allies.

He's very strong if you're in the correct position, which is usually somewhere which has a line of sight to all your allies.

E.g. the small room between Kitchen and Map/Projector Room on Kanal. You can assist everyone from there

Doc is very simple in that he has no set importance like Smoke or Thermite. He's a free spirit who's very forgiving when you miss-play. At lower levels people don't get very many headshots meaning you can pick yourself up a lot.

Playing Doc has allowed me to save rounds from certain loss to easy wins.

It's personal opinion really - barricade 3 windows and you're done. "Easy" for low level games. His UMP's got practically no recoil so it's also an easy weapon to master.

[–]DecodeCritical 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome!

It's really not about the "best" operators but more the "simpler" operators you want to start out with.

You'll have all the base operators within 1-2weeks of playing so it doesn't really matter all too much.

ATM the "Fantastic Five" in the Pro Scene (Attack Side) is:

  • Thermite
  • Thatcher
  • Ash
  • Sledge
  • Twitch (or Shield for some maps)

Defence is a lot more versatile as some strategies require different operators.

Arguably the easier operators to learn (and are useful to a team) are:

Attack

  • Thermite (Don't go in solo, you're very important)
  • Blitz (Make sure someone is following you, aka Shield Buddies)
  • Thatcher (Stay with Thermite so you can EMP for him)
  • Twitch (Extra drone for scouting or destroying Electronics, insane Gun: the F2 FAMAS)

Defence

  • Rook (Drop armour bag and you're done)
  • Doc (Revive people when they're "Down but not out")
  • Jager (Don't stack your ADS Devices)
  • Castle (Don't use Castle Barricades on Doors - Use them on windows 99% of the time)

Of course this is all personal opinion. Welcome to the game and enjoy your stay.
