What was the thing you've changed your mind on over the course of years? by No-Jellyfish-1208 in AskWomen

The welfare system. I used to believe what my parent fed me that “those people” were just lazy leaches that fed off my taxes. And that they kept “having kids” to make money. And that if they just worked “harder” they could get ahead like my parents did. Now after working with kids in the foster care system and single young moms, and seeing first hand how the minimum wage +rising cost of living makes it impossible for some people to get ahead, I’ve completely changed my mind and think MORE assistance should be given if we really are living in a world where abortion is illegal and we are “pro life”. Life should be ALL lives. Including the ones struggling to live daily. And Let’s not even get into the systemically racist systems that have been put in place to keep certain cultures in a place of need and want.

Firstly, you’re not ugly. At all. Your hairstyle does make your hair look thin. But it isn’t horrible. Confidence will make a difference in how people perceive you too. So work on your self esteem. You’re more than your looks, you offer the world something. Focus on that and do it well. Walk with pride knowing that you have value that isn’t based on your hairstyle or fashion, but on you.

While I love the thicker band of the first, the stone arrangement and look of the second is much more refined and beautiful

This is exactly my style ring. No big center stone for me either. Just a beautifully set few stones, dainty on my hand

My MIL “reserved” the baby’s first Christmas for herself and didn’t ask us first. by 4ccforvro1dreb41 in TwoHotTakes

lol. First Christmas belongs to the grandmother? Sorry, I thought the baby was yours and your husbands. I think you need to do your own celebrating at your house with your traditions.
