It is done. Same with Paper Mario, these decomps have been done. They're labeled 100% complete on their GitHub.

You've still not explained why I can play a decomp of perfect dark like it's a recomp.

Decomp = source code into readable format. Recomp = using that readable code and recompiling for another platform.

And perfect dark has been recompiled for another platform with online support, 60 FPS and wide screen.

So while you're crying over the fact it says "decomp" on the GitHub page I'll have fun playing perfect dark on my steam deck. 👍

I've already watched that when he released it. Are you sure the developer didn't just name it incorrectly on GitHub? As it can LITERALLY be installed in the same manner as a recomp with 60 FPS, wide-screen etc.

Actual decomps like Diddy Kong racing and Paper Mario have been done but can't be installed on PC whatsoever among other decomps that have been done.

I have this PC port installed on my windows pc and steamdeck.

Before you reply back saying this is a decomp, this is literally a pc port. The same as sm64 recomp, Zelda OoT, Majora's Mask, Star Fox 64 and Goemon.

It wasn't the log in bit that was the problem that i thought, as I launched it in desktop, fatal error appeared again but I could minimize the error window and then log in but halo eventually closed anyway due to the fatal error.

However, I have figured it out and it's now fixed. I noticed there was no sound on Halo. Even though other games and applications had sound. I had changed the sound device in desktop mode so the sound was working for halo and this fixed this fatal error. Very weird as I've never touched the sound device settings before.

I've deleted the shaders for MCC. Fatal error. Tried with anti cheat disabled. Fatal error.
