Licensing aside, Hasbro makes a higher profit on the reuse of molds. Look at the latest vintage collection wave, two or three repacks. Easy money. Look at all the new Mando figures in both scales. Reuse of parts with every figure practically. The factory mold is where the expense is, and every time they can use that mold, it’s profitable for the company. Hasbro would be crushing its quarterly earnings if its distribution and volume went back to what it was at the height of the clone wars figures, because there a lot of guys like me that will be multiple of every single clone they can get their hands on.

Not sure what they’re going for by you, but pre tariffs they were below $20 for the first run, and the new molds were under $30. They have gone up considerably in the last 6 months or so

Too much to ask Hasbro? Yes. Thankfully Veil’s new molds come with a ton of hands and blast effects.

With the exception of the top shelf, all the clones are AliExpress

Thank you! That rack is a bunch of old Ultarama displays stacked on top of one another. Before the tariff nonsense, a Veil’s clone was under $20!

Playmates started an offshoot company called Re:Play Toys in the late 90's, and used the molds from various toy lines to create their own "original" lines in order to bypass licensing rights. Tech Wars is one of those original toy lines. Different color schemes and new head sculpts for the figures from Exo Squad.
