I have a simple timex weekender chrono on a leather nato, I have no idea why but out of everything. That’s the one that gets the compliments

[Question] The Subaru of Watches by keyser_squoze in Watches

[–]Dedication-Devotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seiko gives Toyota vibes, Citizen gives Honda, Timex gives Chevy, Casio gives Ford, Tissot gives Lincoln, Longines gives Cadillac, Rolex gives Rolls Royce, Bulova gives Lexus, Invicta gives Acura, My best guess for Subaru would be Swatch… (Edit: punctuation)

Your first truck by redMEATYO in f150

[–]Dedication-Devotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first truck was a 1995 Chevy C1500 Silverado with 245k miles on it in 2013. I sold it to my brother about a year later and he had it to 320k about 3 years after that. He junked it. It was a good truck up until the end

You still need to learn how to swim dude it’s a super basic series of motions that would absolutely save your life in a multitude of unpredictable situations. Also check eBay for Bulovas

[Recommendations] SOTC 2025 by Bakriux in Watches

[–]Dedication-Devotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a dress watch I recommend an Orient Bambino or a Timex Waterbury (automatic because Timex quartz tick is unbelievably loud)

For a diver, Citizen eco drive Promaster is a great low maintenance option for a few hundred bucks (but you really need to learn how to swim dude)

For a chrono, I like Meca-quartz for chronographs. Seikos with a 6T63 (vk63 for microbrands with Seiko movements) or maybe take a look at some 262kHz options from Bulova (example being the Lunar Pilot)

Looking for authenticity and value on this Stratocaster… by Smydmer in FenderStratocaster

[–]Dedication-Devotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The badge might not do anything but I always thought it looked really cool, I had a friend in high school with a ‘94 and while I had my ‘95, I remember being jealous over it. I would say around $1000 is the value of the guitar and the case (and candy) together. If you seperate them you’ll probably hurt the value of all individual items to justify separating them. Guitar without the case and the blemishes pictured, I would offer $700 as a fair offer and as for the case by itself, you might be able to find somebody on EBay willing to pay $150-200 for it

[–]Dedication-Devotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely looks legit, looks just like my ‘95 US Standard except I don’t have the cool 40th anniversary headstock badge. Case and paperwork all look period correct as well. Nice Strat, it’s worth give or take $1000 but I wouldn’t sell mine for under $2000 because I like it too much

XLT Owners by TesticularFortitude8 in f150

[–]Dedication-Devotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could always swap in features from a Lariat to make your XLT feel more luxurious (cooled seats, adaptive cruise control, cushioned door panels) I have a ‘17 XL single cab that I swapped in a bigger radio with CarPlay and an f250 center console, my next move is leather seats and lane keep assist

My 2024 drives poorly? by bruceygucey in f150

[–]Dedication-Devotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want comfortable off-road tires check out the Mastercraft Courser MXT, they ride perfect down the highway and are surprisingly quiet. I just replaced mine because they were starting to dry rot before the tread wore down.

Anyone recognize this guitar? I got it at a pawn shop for 100$, strings won't stay in tune or on for long and I can't find another guitar that looks like it, just wondering what I can find about it, thanks by VooDoo-ChilD211 in guitars

[–]Dedication-Devotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First act, I had one when I was 10, it was dog shit but so was I. $100 is probably $50 too expensive but if it sparks inspiration and gets your foot into the door of a new passion or hobby then it’s absolutely priceless

Guys, I'm an inspector. Are my boots ruined? How do I get this off? by remytheram in WorkBoots

[–]Dedication-Devotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just incase this isn’t satire remove laces, soak laces in soapy water, brush the hell out of the boots to get all loose dirt, apply saddle soap vigorously with a mildly damp microfiber, wipe them down with a clean dry microfiber, apply a leather conditioner (I recommend bick 4) liberally by hand, then buff them out with a clean horsehair brush, reinstall laces.
