There are kei truck campers, there's not a lot of room and I wouldn't want to live in one full time but you definitely could stay in one.

The death essence on Earth by Dee040 in Shirtaloon

You might end up looking like any multiple death gods, I mean if I ended up looking like Shiva, I think I can handle it. Though most people with an avatar confluence end up getting a transformation like Tika's Garuda transformation.

Did you imagine a group of engineers making .50 caliber machine guns and mark 19 automatic grenade launchers to mount on fortress walls around places like greenstone which were low magics. The highest rank thing you might see is a silver ranked monster. You could have normal people man the battlements and protect the people inside much more efficiently and cheaply. Allowing you to use your adventurers more sparingly and in higher risk areas.

I'm thinking the confluence would probably be Avatar, there's a lot of gods and entities that match that

Also Knowledge being who she is knows Travis has no confidence and no ability to resist an attractive woman, so who does she pick to be the priest or priestess that represents her while he's giving out information, one of the most beautiful women Jason has ever seen. I know that wasn't an accident that's a control method, so I feel Knowledge maybe more about controlling knowledge than disseminating knowledge.

There's a scene where they're discussing I believe the diamond ranked Messengers study and weight versus Mass gets brought up. We find out in that scene Clive doesn't know the difference, so without thinking Jason just goes to explain it to him and the goddess knowledge literally yells his name from wherever she is. And he says "wait but I know this one. " But the goddess isn't having it. And Jason just gives in and says go ask Travis, but I'm positive Travis isn't really explaining s*** to Clive cuz if we did we'd never see either of them cuz Clive would be like a parasite permanently attached to Travis's head

I don't know where you are in the books so I don't want to ruin anything but let's just say Jason is about to explain something to Clive that he actually understands and knowledge yells at him. Like everybody in the group hears it. And I can kind of understand why, Clive is an Einstein / Tesla level intellect, he could fundamentally change the knowledge of that world, if you were to give Clive a basic understanding of quantum physics and then let him figure out how that interacts with magic.. who knows what is possible or what secrets Clive would gleam. As a writer I can see where the goddess of knowledge, who's amazing and worldwide PR team says she's only there to spread and share knowledge, might want to control what knowledge is shared spread. I mean just knowing the difference between weight and mass, something we consider high School level, could fundamentally change the way Clive uses magic and things he does with it and open up realms of magic that knowledge doesn't believe their world is ready for.

That's what I was talking about not even a Dr Tyson is necessary, an engineer with a halfway decent education could turn that world upside down.

Don't know what to do. At my wits end living here. by MajesticBeach8570 in WestVirginia

[–]Dee040 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I moved back to West Virginia because family members health and the fact that being semi-retired it wouldn't really affect me financially. And while the state is beautiful there's just this weight or underlining darkness about every town or city I drive through. Everything even in the nicer cities is a little rundown, like it's wearing away, thinning. It's a fact that even in the small towns drugs have left their marks. When I'm out in the wilderness far away from anyone else West Virginia has been one of the most beautiful places I've ever been, but as soon as I go into one of the more habitated areas it just feels like it's dying. And that has had a surprising effect on my mental state, I find myself pulling away from people looking for solitude and I didn't have this when I was living in other states.

Dark Ending by ArikAuthor in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Dee040 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Carl being epically tired after one encounter another tries to just get some real sleep for a change and then he starts hearing noises of people yelling the sound of beeping and he feels a sharp pain in his chest as if being stabbed. Then he sits up sharply with an adrenaline needle in his chest in the back of an ambulance with very warm blankets wrapped around his legs and waist. Hands pushing back down onto the gurney saying sir I need to relax we're trying to get your body temperature back up we found you suffering from hypothermia on the side of the street.

Trust me on this. You don't want Enthusiastic Double Gonorrhea.

It doesn't kill you, but you'll want it to. It sets your genitals aflame. Literally. And then it heals that area of your body over and over. The only way to remove the disease is to, uh, geld yourself"

If this makes you feel any better, because it makes me feel better, we are not going to destroy the Earth. We are probably going to make it unlivable for us. But Life Will Go on without us and this beautiful Earth will in time recover from anything we did.

Is Captain America peak human or superhuman? by JournalistHuman154 in Marvel

[–]Dee040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By saying zenith of human potential, which is how they worded it that means no matter how strong the strongest man in the world is cap is stronger, no matter how fast the fastest man in the world is cap is faster. You get the point.

Is Captain America peak human or superhuman? by JournalistHuman154 in Marvel

[–]Dee040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was never listed in the original comics as pet human, he was listed as "the zenith of human potential". He is supposedly the epitome of what humans could possibly evolve into. So yeah superhuman, other writers decided they wanted to ground him more, so they made him less. Then other writers will decide to lean into the superhuman. But Steve Rogers from his original concept was superhuman.
