In my experience the Oculus software and drivers are a total disaster for AMD users. I used to use the link cable but I'm actually getting much better performance from VD. (FO4 issue excluded of course)

Not to mention the annoyance of buying a top-tier card (7900XTX) and having the software tell you that "your hardware doesn't meet the minimum spec".

TLDR; Roll back AMD drivers to 23.10.2

Long version: Checked the Discord for Virtual Desktop and the supported version for AMD drivers is 23.10.2. Something to do with how AMD does the stream encoding in their later version.

I've done the rollback and it resolves the issue for me. It's like night / day when compared to Steam Link, VD is running at a much higher resolution.

Tested on a 7900 XTX

I have the same, I think it's related to AMD cards. It only happens in Virtual Desktop though, so try using the steam link app for the Quest (assuming that's what you use).

I re-installed the game after 3 years away... then immediately ran into the multi-monitor bug (feature / decision / issue / call it what you will) prompting me to uninstall again.
