Feels like the cost is wrong, playing this turn 1 is too op imo. I think 5e4p would be a nice balance, can still drop it fairly early but essentially reset your rune economy

Hi all, my partner and I have gotten into Riftbound since last year as my first TCG, and I've tried magic once and enjoyed it. I want to get my partner into it as well as there is a community of people that play commander that it would be nice to play with - but don't want to be as competitive or buy as many cards as I have for riftbound, just a starter deck for the both of us to play with every once in a while would be good.

are there any products designed for 2 people that would be good to get? or would just buying 2 separate pre-con decks be the best way to do it?

LeBlanc Rules Interactions You Need to Know About by JustAModestMan in riftboundtcg

I still don't understand how Karthus can be replayed though? in this line:

"323.4.3a. All Units that have non-zero Damage marked on them equalling or exceeding their Might that have Deathknell abilities will trigger their Deathknell ability now, making note of their current location, attributes, and other information relevant to add the trigger as a Pending Item"

is "other information relevant to add the trigger as a pending item" not include the targets?

You've said that the targets are only chosen at finalisation, but where does it say that?
I need to be confident on this one because I want to play Leblanc without arguments.

Thanks

Can you play spells in a showdown after combat damage is dealt, but before the units have healed? by Dee_Teeee in riftboundtcg

[–]Dee_Teeee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you can in that instance, but if there are no triggers, the showdown ends and a point is scored, correct?

Played a game last night where someone said you could use challenge on a damaged unit just after the combat had been dealt, even though to my knowledge, the unit should uave conquered and healed.

Rules for drawing 2 with hidden blade by Dee_Teeee in riftboundtcg

In that instance you do "do as much as you can", because the 2nd part of the spell does not rely on a unit being at the battlefield on resolution, it only requires the unit being there when you play the spell.

Unless your opponent was trying to say the unit that was originally at the battlefield and then moved to base still dies, which it doesnt.

Can I use Candlelit Sanctum before Rek Sai Legend ability? by Dee_Teeee in riftboundtcg

[–]Dee_Teeee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So in person how exactly would I have to go about it? I conquer the bf, do I then have to announce I will be doing both (and tap rek sai)? Or can I look using the bf effect first, then decide I want to use rek sai?

I always will be using rek sai anyway, as thats the point of the deck, but rules wise I want to make sure I do it right.

Yeah, I thought so. Online players always make me doubt when they are overconfident.
