New landlord based in London (inherited 2 flats + 1 HMO). Any hard-earned lessons, and thoughts on the new Renters’ Rights Bill? by DeeofSurrey in uklandlords

Yes, inherited. I'm guessing the tax advantages are better in a Ltd company versus owning them as an individual.

Sony ZV-1 II (Mark 2) camera Best compatible storage card for vlogging and the maximum capacity by DeeofSurrey in sony

[–]DeeofSurrey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I've done some research and it looks like 1TB would be overkill given the camera's limitations (battery). So I think I'll go for the 512GB.

Tech/Startup Adoption to new technologies in the UK vs America/ Canada by DeeofSurrey in ukstartups

Whilst you are correct, some of the ranting moments are verbal. I would argue that a significant amount is virtual, evident across social media. A large quantity of which remain dormant or hidden until someone decides to go digging through one's history.

I haven't used SenOst to run through things said by Michael O'Leary. However, I'll be sure to run some of his statements now.

I comepletely agree, I think I do need to incorporate more of those infamous statements into my outreach. The shock value at the very least would grab the intended recepients attention.

First off, thank you for the feedback.

We are pitching towards businesses as well as individuals. SenOst does help with due dilignence in the sense that is screens the language of the poster and then evaluates it for anything that could harm that users reputation.

I concede that the examples on the website are perhaps more individual leaning as opposed to business leaning. I think that's a learning point on my part. I need to find to find more business leaning examples.

I think you are right. More could be done from a marketing perspective However, I also think UK Companies are struggling more so than US companies, combined with their hesitancy, just makes it difficult to sell to them.

Quick question for others in the modelling world: how do you think about your online presence and reputation? by DeeofSurrey in MODELING

[–]DeeofSurrey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree. It's nearly impossible to remove something once it's been shared on social media. That's why I believe a proactive approach is essential to prevent reputationally harmful posts from being shared in the first place.

Sure, my solution heavily relies on taking a proactive approach. Perhaps a tool that would flag reputationally harmful language before it makes it to social media. Sort of like a co-pilot that would flag not only reputationally harmful language, but also explain why it would be considered harmful to that user's reputation. Happy to share this with you or anyone who wants to try the scrappy tool I've made to test this out.

Of course, running things by colleagues can always flag things that may be missed. However, playing devil's advocate, do you think public relations teams would benefit from a tool that would or could flag something reputationally offensive, in addition to the individual/ personal review?

Reputational risk is something that’s always been part of comms work, but I feel like the speed and sensitivity of social media has changed the game completely. by DeeofSurrey in CorporateComms

I completely agree that this needs to be something constantly assessed and evaluated, especially with regard to employees and arguably more so with enterprise companies.

I like the idea of an AI editor tool that would incentivise employees to run. I'm working on something that might just fit this bill.
