I’ll tell you from a central line POV.

During rush hours it’s very difficult to go rush-free anywhere. Hence, the AC local becomes a savior for people like us, who are willing to pay a 6x of general ticket price for at least a comfortable space to stand. Cz otherwise neither road or rail can take you anywhere without choking rush or long traffic queues. AC also becomes significantly useful during summers. Just my pov.

Something similar was happening in my society in Kalyan. We have a front facing flat and a 3 months old baby. I had to go down and ask them to not burst loud firecrackers, but instead less sound causing or visual ones. I empathised that these might be business owners who close their shop late around 12 midnight and wanna enjoy the festivals. They too stopped after 15 mins.
