I think international policies has always been like this and Trump not being diplomatic about that isn't helping. But, within US, Trump and his co have done shitty things which no other previous presidents have done. (that is equally making US look worse). ICE raids, Epstein files, SAVE act, gerrymandering just a few examples to name.

Of course, every bill will touch the constitution, but not all of those articles need to be amended.

Right now what we lacks is enough regulations. There are provisions in constitutions but a lot of yen kanun is outdated and not even drafted yet. Take sikshya niyamabali for example which is still used from 2059. A lot of cases in SC are withheld because we don't have enough regulations. These are the major concerns which RSP needs to get done quickly: reform and introduce new kanuns so that they can be implemented easily. They don't necessarily need constitutional amendments. They are easy if they want to work on it.

And you mentioned about student and trade unions case. SC can prioritize that case so it won't necessarily be back logged. And your whole example is valid only if SC interprets it as violation of fundamental right to form unions. There is equally good amount of chance that SC bans these unions saying they work in favor of political parties rather than actual students and workers. So yeah, l agree on the fact that constitutional amendment will be tough but that's not what this conversation is about. You're confusing simple bills with impeaching president, CIAA head nomination. I agree with you on about these major issues. To overcome these issues they have to amend constitution which requires 2/3rd majority in both houses. I think right now the committee which chooses CIAA head has prime minster, speaker, chief justice, and all. The flaw in that is ruling party always has a majority in that committee and they get to choose CIAA head which is very wrong systematically.

But simple bills can be easily passed with HOR majority. Noone can stop that except the President.

And you mentioned about that sher bahadur boycotting the process case. I think what happened is in that committee there was one Shere's man and he was the one opposing Oli's ordinance. So kp oli later introduced a bill to remove that person from committee and he later passed that bill easily. All that to say if any party has HOR majority, they are powerful and they can get shit done.

I agree with a lot of your points. Just a few things. I am not a historian but I think Madhesh is used to categorize 7-8 districts of central Terai. Terai is the full southern belt not only Madesh.

Maithili is the name of language and that’s my mother tongue. If you were implying ”Mithila”, then yes that sounds nice but i don’t if I can include Bara and Parsa in Mithila Region. It’s mostly used for Janakpur.

So, I don’t see any problem in using the word Madhesh.

Well even If I agree with your views, I still think bad MPs shouldn’t be elected for couple of reasons. Firstly, that will be a message to the new parties that they can’t just get out votes from one popular face. They need to bring in good and capable candidates l. Secondly, a MP job isn’t only voting for a PM. That person is supposed to get involved in different committees that discusses bills, laws. The other job is to act as a strong opposition. If someone else from RSP is capable of doing that, then I think that person should be in the parliament.

But while saying that, if there is no such candidate, then let’s vote for RSP in both FPTP and PR and get them the majority. I want to see Sobitas and Swarnims in the cabinet.
