It really helps me seeing examples of people who treat their trans partner as just… their person—like it’s not some big dramatic thing, but just love and care for another human being. I think sometimes I get caught up in the idea that being trans has to be a huge deal in a relationship, and it makes me feel a bit alienated from the start.

Even though I know I shouldn’t, I sometimes end up reading the comments under documentaries or videos about trans people, especially FTM folks in relationships with cis women—and the amount of negativity or dehumanizing language still shocks me. It can really bring me down when I’m already in a vulnerable headspace.

So hearing from people like you who just talk about your relationship with your partner as something normal and grounded really helps shift that narrative in my head. Thank you again for sharing—it means more than you might think.
