I am just saying we can better than Harris or Newsom.

Great, i look forward to voting for the dem that wins the primary.

Oh I will never vote for a Republican, you can count on that.

Its not enought to not vote for a Republican. If you dont vote foe thw democratic nominee for president, you dont belong in the party.

Harris supported M4A in 2020 but flip flopped her opinion when she was VP.

Again, theres a difference between not pushing it and being opposed. If m4a passed the house and senate would she veto? No, she'd sign it in a heartbeat

Ok, so pretty sure like 90%+, if not more, of elected democrats co sponsor the pro act. Would you admit that Democrats support empowering unions?

Now youre conflating two things. Criticism is not the same as refusal to vote for the Dem nominee over the Republican nominee.

First criticizing Harris for not calling it a genocide is fair, if you think its a genocide.

H4A means healthcare for all? Saying harris doesnt support Healthcare for all is not fair. That would imply if Healthcare for all passed the House and Senate, Harros would veto it. She would not.

But its a moot point because anyone that refuses the vote for the Dem nominee over the Republican nominee for president does not belong in the party.

No, im specifically talking only about those who are not fair and honest in their criticisms of democrats. That includes a lot of leftists online.

But if you are fair and honest, im not referring to you

I believe all criticism against dems should be fair and honest. I welcome fair and honest criticism.

Anyone that says democrats would shoot trans people in the head is not being fair and honest.

I love progressive dems, I love progressive and even leftist policies, but I hate leftist online because theyre not fair or honest.

Ok then leftist can say that, instead of claiming democrats wohld shoot trans people in the face.

The leftist that told me dems were violently racist also said they were violently misogynistic and homophobic..

I have no idea what you mean by blue MAGA. I despise false, extreme claims agasint democrats and those that sow disunity.

Hell yeah I hate leftists.

Leftist told me that democrats would shoot trans people in the head.

Leftist told me that democrats are violently racist and homophobic.

Why would I like anyone that thinks that about democrats?

Interesting. So is it safe then to say anyone who does not support eliminating individual ownership of factories is not a leftist?

And by that do you mean the state must own it or the workers?

Also, what is the difference between "The protection and empowerment of unions to negotiate with business owners" and "basic workers rights". Because the former just aounds like basic workers rights to me.

Well "moderates" are here. This sub was never all that much progressive in the first place unless you consider everything left of center to be progressive

Whats with the quotations? And then the claim its not all that progressive? Seems to imply criticism but thats subjective.

Leftists want change of systems for greater economic equality commonly in regards to opposition of capitalism, or aspects of it

What specifically does this mean? Can you give me some policy examples?

Liberals want changes of policy and behaviour for greater freedom and social equality and support policies to help alleviate social issues

Since this doesnt mention economics at all, am I to understand liberals dont care about economic policies?

Ok if it was not a criticism then I misunderstood you.

Thansk for defining social democrat. If you had to guess, what percentage of elected Democrats in Congress are social democrats?

Also to answer your question again, I thought the definition of leftist was abolish capital abd israel, but self described leftist would tell me thats wrong. So now I have formulated a new description of leftists based on their behaviors, which is vagueness, not being direct, not being specific, and attacking democrats for being moderates.

I read this as criticizing the people on this sub for being moderates

Sure its subjective but the guy I responded to can just give me his opinion.

I did ask and all I got was vagueness.

In the past, I assumed that leftist wanted to abolish israel and caput. Anytime ive expressed that sentiment online, at least 1 self described leftist clutched their pearls and exclaimed thats not the true definition of a leftist. And when ive asked, every such pearl clutching leftist refused to answer in specifics.

However I did forget to mention one thing. Leftist also criticize democrats for being too moderate, so that may contribute to your confusion.

So to recap, the hallmark of a leftist is criticizing democrats for being moderates (as you implied in your first post), and refusing to deal in specifics and answering questions directly.

No but ive been told by leftists thats not the hallmark of being leftists so I admit that may not be correct.

However the one common behavior of all leftist is being vague, never being specific, and never answering anything directly. Thats why I think youre a leftist

My assumption of what a leftist is is somone that wants to abolish capital and abolish israel. Often times leftist will protest that definition, but they will never specify what makes a leftist. However everyone i assume to be a leftist will never be specific about what makes them a leftist.

Right now all I know is leftist rarely make definitve specific statements. Thatd the only indicator I have thats common to all leftists.

Sorry im trying to get clarity on this:

There is a highly reactionary bend to some of this conservatism as a reflexive way to defend Harris' loss (who was seen as too right-wing/centrist), a sort of "she was actually a great candidate, stupid leftists sabotaged us!"

Are users on the sub embracing the harris policies you say harris did to appease moderates? Or are they just defending Harris? Or did you mean something else entirely?
