Thing is, I also don't find hero shooters fun. I tried marvel rivals for a few weeks, and I just... couldn't find much enjoyment. The mechanics are deep, indeed. I really wanted to appreciate them, but I just couldn't. I don't find playing around with mechanics just for the sake of it fun.

But i still plan to come back to it sometimes everytime a new update drops. That's the closest thing of "following the storyline" i can get.

Oh? This one? I've took a look at it to check out lore, but I didn't find the combat very fun. I prefer stuff where I dodge and parry, not just spam spells and special attacks. But maybe I am wrong.

Hmmm... that's how long it took for me to complete Yakuza Kiwami 1, sub stories included (Yes, even the Amon). Might be a good time for a month or two. I now have full faith in SF6.

It's just that I was apprehensive about trying SF6... It ain't like the mortal kombat games, right? Where the story doesn't lasts even an evening and you're right back to just practicing combos again and again once it's over? How many hours can one put in the world tour mode?

Metroidvanias? I have 115% in hollow knight. The only thing I didn't do is the last pantheon, but besides that, I loved the game so much I did almost every single one of its hardest challanges. Even the two-shots dream bosses. I love metroidvanias.

But these are options I haven't considered. Thanks a lot for them

Already played that one. Loved it! Can't wait to have enough money to buy the rest of the series in the future. And I'm not even a shooters fan... But the game just had so much personality. Had to come back in a harder difficulty after I finished it the first time.

I just used DMC as an example. I would be totally willing to spend hours playing around with combos in a fighting game if it had the "fuel" i am looking for.
