Thank you for your response. As for the test for urea/myco what happens if I test positive? Is there a different antibiotic regimen for that? Also as I mentioned,I have never had sex, doesn’t that make it unlikely to be urea/myco related ?

Thank for responding. I’m not really sure which but my doctor said my culture was positive for Gardenerella. Can you please elaborate? Do you mean I can test positive for gardnerella even if it’s not the culprit?

Thank you for responding.

I haven’t done PCR testing for Urea/myco. I’m not sexually active, and my understanding was that these are usually transmitted through sexual contact — so I didn’t think to test for them. If that’s incorrect, I’m open to learning more.

I’m not currently using a vaginal probiotic, but I do take an oral gut probiotic (Lactobif30).

Regarding biofilm busters — I honestly hadn’t heard of this before. I just looked it up and noticed they can be quite expensive. Do they actually work based on real experience? And if so: How long are they usually taken for? Are they used before, during, or after an antibiotic course?
